KOROGA FESTIVAL 27TH ONE LOVE EDITION

All roads led to the Koroga Festival at the Two Rivers Mall this past weekend, where a mammoth crowd were treated to a musical extravaganza that brewed a cocktail of many goodies. Security checks were key and thorough, as people streamed into the mall to see their favorite acts on stage. Another thing that stood out was the amazing setup for ticketing checks from the ticketsasa team as well as S&M Bank signing up people to their various bank accounts (which came with great offers and umbrellas as gift merchandise for all their clients).Vendors of various merchandise were there all setup and ready to sell their products at reasonable prices from jewellery,clothes,shoes,handbags,childrens toys and even toiletries.

Beefeater pink London team were there with beautiful girls dressed in cute outfits ready to serve the first 100 guests with sizzling cocktails and promote the drink through various photobooths that included a studio set, swing set and flower carriage set. There was lots of food of all kind’s drinks including beer, wines from Israel, Italy, France and South Africa, rosé’s and sangria which had quite a sweet twist to them. The performances were all top notch as Sailors, Gwaash, Zero-Sufuri, Wyre, Redsan(with a special appearance from Timmy T Dat in his set) and the man of the hour-Alpha Blondy took to the stage to give unforgettable shows that surpassed all understanding and took the crowd into a frenzy. Great sound, great lighting and the stage was done by Homeboyz Entertainment and the Chinese Embassy made a special debut as a sponsor showcasing the best of their Chinese culture.


People travelled from far and wide and made this edition to be one of the most anticipated events this year. Mc Kris Darlin and Tracy Wanjiru did a great job to hype up the crowd, as all the favorite artists each performed with live bands. Various deejays like ProtĂŠgĂŠ, Joe Mfalme and Stretch all entertained the crowd with infectious new and old school local and international tunes from all genres reggae, dancehall, afrobeats and so on. Special guests who graced the occasion included Mr. Dunford (Tamarind Group Founder), Jambi Koikai, Governor Joho from Mombasa County amongst many more not forgetting Chris Kirubi who was so grateful for the huge success of the event as the founder of Capital FM. It was a great day with perfect ambience, in the perfect venue, with perfect weather, to a mature yet hyped up audience of patrons, who partied into the wee hours of the night on both days in true Kenyan fashion. DairyLand also sold ice-cream of all kinds to cool off from the hot day.
