MO IBRAHIM MUSIC FESTIVAL A HUGE SUCCESS

The past week has been quite busy and informative, holding various forums, webinars, seminars, workshops, press conferences and panel discussions with top media houses from across the globe, top diplomats and African leaders plus celebrities and government officials. There was a private exclusive function that was held to honor the governance weekend organized by Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Youssou Ndour performed with his live band and Suzanna owiyo also performed together with the Sarakasi Dancers to all the delegates who were specially invited to that event. The Mo Ibrahim governance weekend was crowned and brought to conclusion with a mega music festival which included live performances by Nyashinski ,Mejja,Femi One,Nviiri the storyteller ,Otile Brown, Dj Joe Mfalme and Pierra Makenna, Youssou Ndour who all performed their all-time classics and new songs which got the crowd charged up.

The Mcs for the event were Mwalimu Rachel and DJ Xclusive from NRG Radio Mo Sound Entertainment did the stage and sound setup and a whole team from Europe were flown into Kenya to help with the visual effects and holographic animated characters on the huge LCD screens as incense sticks were burning throughout Nyashinski’s Live performance as the crowd chanted his name and songs word for word. The security was very tight and strict from the main road outside KICC,APS,Police barricade and NYS were on standby to bring order to the event as the ticketing section by ticket sasa also moved smoothly to tag all the revellers. There were also a few vendors selling food and drinks during the whole event.

Many Thanks to David Muriithi(producer of the show),in partnership with Portland Communications PR Agency, and Mo Ibrahim Foundation for organizing a brilliant experience to promote African culture and provide peaceful solutions for pure governance from our African leaders that will help the continent provide more jobs for the youth ,proper infrastructure ,boost the economies in Africa and promote tourism in all aspects. We look forward to the next Mo Ibrahim governance weekend open forums, press conferences and music festivals with more delegates from the UN, fourth estate and international celebrities who can drive various agendas and ensure the African continent sticks to proper governance principles.
