The Real Housewives launched at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club

Ahead of its official premiere, Showmax treated guests to an exclusive screening of the first episode of its much-anticipated reality series The Real Housewives of Nairobi recently at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.The event which was hosted by Amina Abdi Rabar was attended by RHONairobi cast members Susan Kaittany, Minne Kariuki, Lisa Kristoffersen, Sonal Maherali and Vera Sidika, members of the press, as well as Eugene Mbugua and his team at D&R Studios, the production company behind The Real Housewives of Nairobi. Also in attendance were Showmax and MultiChoice representatives.

Each housewife arrived in style with Lisa who is a motorist enthusiast making an entrance in a rally car, Sonal in a limousine, Vera in a Bentley, Susan in a Jeep and Minne in a Mercedes entourage.RHONairobi episode 1 which also featured some surprise appearances received a thunderous applause from the audience, and can be summarized in three words – drama, luxury and shade.

Away from the onscreen drama, guests were also treated to some real time drama as the housewives took the stage to join host of the night, Amina who said,“What we have just watched is going to shake Africa,” Minne declared, while her co-star Susan said, “There’s nothing fake about The Real Housewives of Nairobi.”Vera, who started filming the show while five months pregnant acknowledged that it’s been a tough couple of months. “But we really did this. Nairobi, you’re not ready,” Vera said.The Real Housewives of Nairobi premieres today only on Showmax, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
