USIU CULTURE NIGHT 2019 A HUGE SUCCESS
All roads led to United States International University last Thursday evening, where students and the whole USIU community converged in a beautifully decorated dome tent in the School Sports field to celebrity their various cultures in song, food, fashion, music and dance. Each community from various countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Somalia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Tanzania and a few others did their best to bring out the best of their worlds as the crowd cheered them on. Kericho Gold who were there, had people sample their various herbal tea flavors and I particularly enjoyed the Chocolate Tea plus Mango-Pineapple Tea. They were very sweet and went well with any meal that was being served. There was also bitings and soft drinks served at the VIP section courtesy of the school catering team as well as nyama choma, fast food and other drinks on sale for the regular people. Kawinzi and Ashley Kamau were the MCs of the night and did a splendid job at keeping the crowd on their feet as well as running through the program that lasted for a few hours. Kenya was the overall winner of the whole event for their uniqueness, costumes, creativity and most of all their unity. This was an epic moment for them as well as their fellow Kenyans. Somalia community also gained a lot of recognition for their zeal and brilliant cooperation. Next year the organizers have promised a bigger, better and more colorful ceremony with even more surprises plus lots of entertainment for everyone.
