The Autumn Winter 2013 collection from luxury travel accessories brand WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie brings with it a sense of duality, universality & gravity. Inspired by Expo67’s Man and His World, Kubrick’s Space Odyssey, and Liberty’s Art Print ® of Icelandic Mountains, new and iconic styles channel the human desire to explore the physical world and the need to discover and understand. Invoking the fleeting beauty of the first and final appearances of the moon over earth’s horizon, the collection offers a constellation of new colours, ideas and material texture. At Moonrise, mineral tones of copper, rust and moss green are reflected by vivid shades of yellow, as the sun sets on the foliage of fall. As the crisper arctic temperature of winter’s early morning ascends, Moonset is translated with a darkness of colour, yet richness of texture, of midnight blue, glacier grey and black onyx. Molten orange warms with the optimism of dawn in the renewal of life’s daily voyage. Core to the brand’s identity, the collection remains simple yet functional, modern yet timeless, longlasting and sustainable.
