Birthday Corner

This week’s surprise birthday winner is Emma Marsh of Bunyip who turns nine on Saturday. Emma is in grade four at Bunyip Primary School. She has an older brother Sean, who is 11-years-old. Emma loves dancing, starting lessons at Senna Bird Academy of Dance in Garfield last year. She is currently learning tap, jazz and hip-hop dance styles. In her spare time, Emma enjoys all things art and craft. For her birthday, Emma will be joined by her cousins and four best friends for a sleepover and a jumping trip to Bounce. Happy Birthday Emma! You’ll receive a cream sponge cake from Woolworths, Warragul and a

voucher from Toyworld, Warragul. Other Milly members celebrating their birthdays this week are: Oliver White and Sienna Richards today, Jackson Wakefield tomorrow, Lauren Austen, Reagan Joyce and Cooper Tyler on Thursday, Clair Kelly-English on Saturday, Henry Christie and Andrew Mills on Sunday, and John Higgins, Darcie George and Tiana George on Monday.

I loved seeing all your fantastic entries this week! Each entry brightened my day – well done. Tinies – Such bright and fun entries from the tinies this week. You worked very hard to stay in the lines – great job! I’ve awarded a green certificate to Blake Vincitorio for his wonderful man cleaning up the leaves entry. Red certificates go to the awe-

some skateboarding entries of Miriam Craig and Ruby Kemp. Juniors – I awarded green certificates to two very neat and imaginative entries from Mia Pilson and Jasmine Craig – great job girls! Red certificates go to Isabella Jane Sowerby and Oliver Kemp for some colourful and neat entries. Fabulous!

It was a tough decision but this week’s overall winner is Mia Pilson of Warragul. Great job! Mia sent in a colouring-in of a skateboarding girl doing a trick. It was neat with wonderful shading and a few bright sparkles – it

looked like the girl was leaping from the page. I particularly enjoyed seeing the little added touches – pink flames on the board, pink heart on her t-shirt and the skateboard ramp in the background.

Well done Mia! You show a great deal of promise with your art. Mia wins a voucher to Need2Read, Warragul valued at $10 and a family pass to Warragul Cinema Centre valued at $52.
