IMPORTANT: no race-kit pick-up on the race day

If you are collecting your race packet in person, you need your ID with a photo. If you want someone else to pick up your race kit, they should bring a copy of your entry card (Karta Startowa) signed by you. To retrieve it you must log in to your Warsaw Marathon account and find it under “Your Runs” (“Twoje Biegi”). The signed card along with a copy of your ID (with photo) should be shown at the pickup of your race-kit if you are not showing in person.

Remember - face masks in the race office are mandatory at all times.

Race bib The race bib must be placed on the front of your shirt. It cannot be covered or modified in any way. Violation of these rules will result in disqualification. Make sure to fill in the back of the race bib with your personal data! You must present your race bib when entering the start zone. On the race bib you will find information on your starting wave and the number of the truck in which you can deposit your belongings before the race.

GETTING TO THE START AREA Parking space in the immediate vicinity of the start is very limited. We recommend getting to the start area by public transport. Thanks to to Warsaw City Council, participants in the race can travel by public transport within ticket zone I free of charge, upon showing their start numbers.

Remember that on 26 September at 8:00 a.m. the first wave of the Warsaw Marathon will begin the race. Makre sure to check traffic changes in our TRAFFIC INFORMATIO BOOKLET.

BEFORE THE START

START OF THE RUN The 43rd Warsaw Marathon will start in 4 waves: 8:00 a.m., 8:15 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 8:45 a.m. from Konwiktorska street. The Bridgestone Marathon Relay will start at 8:00 from Konwiktorska street (together with the marathon). The 15th Warsaw Half Marathon will start in 4 waves: 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:00 p.m. from Moliera Street. New Balance High Five Race will start in one wave at 5:00 p.m. from Sanguszki street.

The time of your starting wave is shown on your race bib

Entry to the start zone will be vary depending on your start time. The starting area for the 1st wave of the marathon and the relay will open at 7:40 a.m. and for the half-marathon at 11:40 a.m. The start zone for participants in subsequent waves will open after the start of the previous wave.

Participants of wave 1 line up at the start in the appropriate time zone marked by flags, according to the color marked in the corner of the race bib.

Participants in manual wheelchairs start in the front line of the 2nd wave of the marathon at 8:15 a.m. and the 2nd wave of the half-marathon at 12:30 pm.

You must enter the start zone wearing a face mask, which you will then dispose of in bins available in the starting zone after the announcer gives a signal to do so.

PACEMAKERS Pacemakers will help you reach the time goal in the 43rd Warsaw Marathon and 15th Warsaw Half Marathon. They will set pace for the following time groups:

Marathon, 1st wave: 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 Marathon, 2nd, 3rd, 4th: 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 Half Marathon, all waves: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10

Water STATIONS Water stations along the route of the Warsaw Marathon and half-marathon will be located every 2.5 km. They will serve Cechini Muszyna water, isotonic, Yellow bananas and Diamant sugar cubes.

After each water station you will find “dump zones”, where you will dispose of plastic cups. Please use the special bins to get rid of trash. It will help keep the area clean and help keep other runners’ way clean and safe. MARATHON

BEFORE THE START

RACE TIME MEASUREMENT The time will be measured by a chip placed on your race bib. All categories will be determined according to net times (from crossing the start line).

NO ROUTE CROSSING For safety reasons, it is forbidden to ride bicycles, walk with Nordic sticks, skateboard, drive scooters and other mechanical devices as well as walk with animals on the race route. Individuals violating this rule will be removed from the route by race marshalls. The only exception are people with passes issued by the organizer.

TOILETS Toilets will be located near the start zones, within the finish area and at each water station. Toilets for the disabled will be located at the water stations at kilometers 10, 20, 30, 40 of the marathon route and km 9 and 19 of the halfmarathon route.

FINISH AREA After the finish line participants of all runs will receive Cechini Muszyna water, an isotonic drink, Lech Free non-alcoholic beer and Yellow bananas. Marathon and half-marathon finishers will also be offered finisher’s meal in the finish area. Due to sanitary restrictions the massage services will not be offered this year. TIME LIMIT 43rd Warsaw Marathon: 6.5 hours Bridgestone Marathon Relay: 6.5 hours 15th Warsaw Half Marathon: 3.5 hours New Balance High Five Race: 45 min.

RESULTS Results will be available online on our websites, after the run you will also receive a text message with your result. Final results can be found on the websites of particular runs.

SAFETY During the event, you will be looked after by Medisept - the largest Polish producer of medical standard disinfectants. Disposers with highly safe disinfectants will be distributed in the race office, within sanitary zones, entries to starting zones, deposits, changing rooms, a food zone after the finish line, and other locations. Please remember to cover your mouth and nose in all closed areas.
