Bicycle-Pedestrian Master Plan You may have heard about an exciting new movement in town called Ride-Walk WarsawWinona Lake. The goal is to make Warsaw and Winona Lake a bicycle and pedestrian friendly area for residents and visitors. Not only does riding your bike or walking save at the pump, but it is a great way to improve your health and well-being! The Indiana State Department of Health awarded a $50,000 grant to implement a Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan for our area. Master Plan work will begin in the Spring and continue throughout 2012. There will be several opportunities for community input, and we want YOU to get involved! Whether you’re a daily rider or walker, or you simply wish you had more opportunities to do so, your feedback will be valuable. Look for information throughout the year about surveys, public workshops, and more. We look forward to you joining us in achieving this exciting and important goal.
