After Hours Fishing Passes After Hours Fishing Passes are available free of cost for fishing in the parks after normal operating hours. You may register for a fishing pass at the Central Park Office, 117 East Canal Street, during normal business hours. Passes do not require renewal unless you move or your personal information has changed. You must have your pass with you at all times when fishing on park property after hours. These passes do not replace state-issued fishing licenses.

The Gardens of Central Park Northeast End of Central Park Open April - October The Gardens of Central Park are the culmination of Robert and Roma Maish’s dream to create a perennial garden for Kosciusko County and its visitors. Made possible through an endowment fund established by the Maishes through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, the Gardens contain over 160 perennial flowers, shrubs, and grasses. The facility is ADA accessible and offers a variety of blossoms, colors, and a fish pond. For more information, contact the Kosciusko County Community Foundation at (574) 267-1901.

Warsaw Biblical Gardens Bixler Park May 15 - September 15, Dawn to Dusk The Bible’s story begins with a garden and ends with a vision of trees bearing fruit. The Warsaw Biblical Gardens, situated on approximately 3/4 acre, currently contains over 100 plants that are named in the Bible. A diversity of climates can be found in the Holy Land, which allows for most of its plants to be grown somewhere in the United States. For more information, call (574) 267-6218.

Building Rentals Center Lake Pavilion - Municipal Park

With seating for 300, this is the largest rental facility available with Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department. Amenities at no additional charge include kitchen, PA system, coffee makers, stages, tables, and chairs. Please call for rental fees, availability, and rules/ regulations. Handicapped accessible.

Nye Youth Cabin - Nye Park

Also known as the Scout Cabin, this facility seats 70. Amenities at no additional charge include kitchen, tables, and chairs. Please call for rental fees, availability, and rules/regulations. Handicapped accessible.

Rental Information

All rental facilities and equipment managed by Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department must be reserved in advance. Each facility may be reserved up to one year in advance. All rental buildings are alcohol- and smoke-free. Rental fees are subject to applicable sales tax. For information and pricing, call the Central Park Office at (574) 372-9554.

Firemen’s Building - Pike Lake

This mid-sized building seats up to 100. Amenities at no additional charge include kitchen, tables, and chairs. Please call for rental fees, availability, and rules/regulations. Handicapped accessible.

Shelter Rentals Central Park Open Shelters

Perfect for family reunions or a casual picnic. East and West Shelters are both available for reservation and include six picnic tables that seat 8 - 10 people each. Fees are $25 per shelter plus tax. Handicapped accessible.

Lucerne Shelters - Lucerne Park

Four stone enclosed shelters, seat 40 to 50 people each. Fee is $25 each plus tax. The amphitheatre is available with electricity for an additional $10 plus tax. Shelter #3 is handicapped accessible.

Gladys Ramsey Shelter - Nye Park

This enclosed, screened-in shelter seats 40 to 50 people. Fee is $25 plus tax. Handicapped accessible.

Other Open Shelters

Beyer, Bixler, Kelly, Kiwanis, & Richardson-DuBois Parks. Accommodations vary. Fees are $25 each plus tax. Call for details.

Rental Information

Other Rentals Central Park Plaza

Reserve the plaza for weddings, concerts, and more. Seats 500 people. Fee is $100 plus refundable damage deposit of $250. Handicapped accessible.

Pete Thorn Center Gymnasium

May be reserved by the hour on Saturdays or Sundays for athletic uses only. Gym capacity is 260 people. Rental is $40 per hour plus refundable damage deposit of $100. Please call for additional information about fees and rules/regulations.

Picnic Tables (April 15 - October 1)

May be reserved in select parks for Sundays and holidays during the summer for $2 each plus tax. When available, they may be delivered to your site for a flat rate of $5 each plus tax within city limits or $8 each plus tax outside city limits, but within Wayne Township.

Sawhorse Tables (April 15 - October 1)

May be reserved for garage sales during the summer. When available, reserved tables are $3 each plus tax within city limits or $5 each plus tax outside city limits, but within Wayne Township.

Pike Lake Campground 2015 Season

April 15 - October 1 (No storage after season.)

Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and more for various age groups (3-16 years old). The first 100 kids will receive a gift bag (does not include fishing pole). This class is for anyone age 14 and older who has a bike and helmet and can already ride. The class is split between classroom sessions and on-bike time. The cost includes a student manual.

This brand new stretching and flexibility class will take place in our beautiful Central Park so participants of all ages can enjoy the warm sunshine and relaxing green space. Specially trained instructors will introduce participants to safe, easy to perform balance, coordination, and range of motion stretches for improved mobility, movement, and relaxation. Led by experienced and certified YOGA instructors. Annual waiver must be signed by each participant. Class will meet at Glover Pavilion.

This exciting new program for beginners will lead to long lasting adventures on our beautiful Pike Lake. This introductory class is perfect for teenagers and adults, (ages 12 and up) with a focus on basic balance, coordination, and paddling skills while sitting or standing on a light weight, easy to maneuver padded surfboard. Led by an experienced Paddle Board Instructor. Waiver and rules sheet must be signed by each participant (must be signed by parent for anyone under the age of 18). Class will meet at Pike Lake on the North side of the Beach area.
