After Hours Fishing Passes are available free of cost for fishing in the parks after normal operating hours. You may register for a fishing pass at the Park Office, 800 N. Park Avenue, during normal business hours. Passes do not require renewal unless you move or your personal information has changed. You must have your pass with you at all times when fishing on park property after hours. These passes do not replace state-issued fishing licenses.

Warsaw Biblical Gardens Bixler Park Open May 15 to September 15, Dawn to Dusk The Bible’s story begins with a garden and ends with a vision of trees bearing fruit. The Warsaw Biblical Gardens, situated on approximately 3/4 acre, currently contains over 100 plants that are named in the Bible. A diversity of climates can be found in the Holy Land, which allows for most of its plants to be grown somewhere in the United States. For more information, call (574) 267-6218.

The Gardens of Central Park are the culmination of Robert and Roma Maish’s dream to create a perennial garden for Kosciusko County and its visitors. Made possible through an endowment fund established by the Maishes through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, the Gardens contain over 160 perennial flowers, shrubs, and grasses. The facility is accessible and offers a variety of blossoms, colors, and a fish pond. For more information, contact the Kosciusko County Community Foundation at (574) 267-1901.

Facility Rentals All rental facilities and equipment managed by Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department must be reserved in advance. Each facility may be reserved up to one year in advance. All rental buildings are alcohol- and smoke-free. Rental fees are subject to applicable sales tax. Building Rentals Center Lake Pavilion - 119 E. Canal St. With seating for 300, this is the largest rental facility available with Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department. Amenities include kitchen, PA system, coffee makers, stages, tables, and chairs. This facility is accessible.
Nye Youth Cabin - 357 N. Buffalo St.
Also known as the Scout Cabin, this facility seats 75. Amenities include kitchen, tables, and chairs. This facility is accessible.
Firemen’s Building - 1013 E. Arthur St.
This mid-sized building seats up to 100. Amenities include kitchen, tables, and chairs. This facility is accessible.
Shelter Rentals Central Park Open Shelters
Perfect for family reunions or a casual picnic. East & West shelters are both available for reservation and include six picnic tables that seat 8 - 10 people each. Fees are $50 per shelter plus tax. Shelters are accessible.
Other Open Shelters: Beyer, Bixler,
Kelly, Kiwanis, & Richardson-DuBois Parks. Accommodations vary. Fees are $50 each plus tax. Call for details.
Lucerne Shelters - 800 N. Park Avenue
Four stone enclosed shelters, seat 40-50 people each. Fee is $75 each plus tax. The amphitheater is available with electricity for an additional $200 plus tax. All shelters are accessible.
Central Park Plaza - 225 E. Fort Wayne St.
Reserve the Plaza for weddings, concerts, and more. Seats 500 people. Fee is $225 plus tax. This facility is accessible.
Pete Thorn Center Gymnasium
May be reserved by the hour on Saturdays or Sundays for athletic uses only. Gym capacity is 260 people. Rental is $40 per hour plus refundable damage deposit of $100. Please call for additional information about fees and rules/regulations. May be reserved in select parks for weekends and holidays during the summer for $5 each plus tax. When available, they may be delivered off-site for a flat rate of $15 each plus tax within city limits or $20 each plus tax outside city limits, but within Wayne Township.
Sawhorse Tables (April 15 - October 1)
May be reserved for garage sales during the summer. When available, reserved tables are $10 each plus tax within city limits or $15 each plus tax outside city limits, but within Wayne Township.

Cooking Up Fun Tuesdays, July 6-27 | 1:30-3:00 p.m. Ages 6+, $10 per child. Register by June 29 Children aged 6 and up will get an opportunity to measure ingredients to make food or science experiments, making easy recipes and join other kids their age. Parents are welcome to come and stay. Two of the scheduled sessions will involve cooking kid-friendly food items; the other two will involve science experiments.

Safe Sitter® Pete Thorn Center Activities Room $25 per child, 8 students per session. Visit warsaw.in.gov/safesitter to view currently scheduled sessions. Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR or choking rescue!

Wildlife Explorers Tuesdays, June 8-29 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., Lucerne Park Ages 6-12, $5 per child, per week Discover nature in local parks! This fun, fast-paced, interactive program is designed to connect youth to nature by encouraging exploration through experiments, activities, and crafts. Different themes each week!

No registration required. An annual waiver and rules sheet must be signed by each participant (must be signed by a parent for anyone under age 18). Participants under 16 must have an adult in the water with them. Equipment available for community use on a first-come, first-served basis and may be used in timed increments. All equipment & life vests provided. All participants will be briefed on safety measures prior to using equipment. All use will be supervised by staff.
400 Little League Drive (Boggs Campus) Mantis Skate Park is a fully-supervised, family-friendly skate facility for all ages, elementary students through adults. The park offers a Rhino ramp system thanks to support from the K21 Health Foundation. Skateboards, scooters and inline skates are welcome. Helmets are required at all times.

Hire Park BMX 550 Arthur Street (at Hire Park) Practices Tuesdays & Thursdays Races most Saturdays Hire Park BMX is sanctioned by the USA BMX and offers racing for all ages. Opportunities range from a training wheel class to 55 and over, beginner to pro, boys and girls, camps to rider clinics, etc. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
