As the end of Term 3 approaches, it’s time once again for some of the biggest events of the year, brought to you by Warwick SU. Weeks 9 and 10 will host some of the year’s highlights, including the Sports Ball, Graduation Ball, the Societies Awards and, of course, the Summer Party! There’s also the annual Warwick Student Arts Festival, where some of our best performing societies will be showcasing their talents on campus. The current Sabbatical Team will be here until the end of July, when we'll hand over to the new team that you elected in February. It’s been a great year and an absolute pleasure to work with James, Ben, Anna, Cosmo, Silkie and Bam. On a personal note, I have loved being your SU President, and thank you once again for electing me to do this brilliant job - I now look forward to being a Masters student for one more year after this and seeing what great things Ben and the team accomplish. I wish them all the best! If you are about to graduate, congratulations! I hope to see you at a Skool Dayz in the near future. If you’re still here next year, make sure you stay involved with the SU and I will see you around campus. Until then, thanks for a great year! Nick Swain PRESIDENT
news in brief love community campaign Love Community is a new campaign which brings together all of our community-based activities here at the SU. As part of Love Community we are running our annual ‘Leave Leam Tidy’ and ‘Keep Cov Clean’ initiatives in Term 3 to help make sure you leave your properties and local area in good condition when you leave, and that you try and recycle as much as you can. Keep your eyes peeled for more info coming soon on the SU webpages!
tuesday week 9
On Tuesday 18th June, we’ll be holding our final GUM Clinic of the year in Meeting Rooms 4 & 5 of SUHQ. This is a free, non-invasive and confidential service which allows you to get tested for sexually-transmitted infections perfect for getting a clean bill of health before heading out for a summer of fun! There’s no need to make an appointment - just turn up on the day and you’ll be seen as soon as possible. Please note, however, that while the session runs from 12pm-6pm, the actual interview process can take up to 25 minutes – make sure you're there before 5:30pm if you want to guarantee getting seen! If you have any questions or would like more information, just email Welfare Officer Ben Sundell via welfare@warwicksu.com.

you say... thursday week 9 The most prestigious event in the Warwick calendar is almost upon us as the 2013 Graduation Ball rears its head. If you’ve been to see The Great Gatsby recently and can’t get enough of that old-school 1920s glamour, get your swankiest tux, dinner dress or ball-gown on for an unforgettable night of dinner, dancing and entertainment in the spectacular setting of Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole Hotel – tickets have now sold out, but don’t forget to pick yours up from SUHQ Reception if you were lucky enough to bag one! Buses will start leaving the Piazza from 5pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
friday week 9 Following the fastest ever grab for tickets to an SU event, this year’s Sports Ball is also just around the corner! On Friday 21st June, we’ll be kicking off proceedings with the Colours Ceremony in the Atrium from 3:45pm. Full, half and national colours will be awarded to individual club members whose clubs feel they’ve put in outstanding performances throughout the year, together with BUCS Awards for those clubs who’ve delivered for Warwick week-in, week-out. Then it’s all over to the splendour of the Hilton Metropole once again to celebrate your achievements in style. Buses will begin leaving the Piazza at 5pm!

Does my Summer Party ticket automatically get me into the After-Party in The Copper Rooms?
we say... It does indeed – please note, however, that this will be subject to venue capacity, so it’ll be first-come, first-served. Make sure you hurry over after Zane Lowe closes the Main Stage!
you say... When’s the latest that I can pick up my Summer Party ticket?
we say... SUHQ Reception will be open until 6pm on the day itself, so you can get yours then if you want to make sure you don’t miss out!
