- Leo Boe: President of Warwick SU

I studied Politics and International Studies and am an international student myself (originally from Switzerland). I lived in New Rootes in first year and studied abroad in Hong Kong during my second year. Last year I was the elected Welfare Officer of Warwick SU. My role as President this year is to represent student interests to the University as well as keeping your interests at the heart of what Warwick Students’ Union does.

As a keen sportsman, I’ve been heavily involved in a variety of clubs from Warwick Snow to Lacrosse during my time at Warwick. I studied maths as a student and lived in Whitefields in my first year. Last year I was Warwick SU’s Sports Officer. This year I am responsible for Warwick SU’s commercial activities, making sure that our food outlets and entertainments remain relevant to Warwick students’ lives.

Societies are student-led groups on campus which focus on a particular area of interest which brings students together. They are run by elected student executive committees who organise relevant events and activities relating to the area of interest. You can join any society by going to www.warwicksu.com/societies or by coming along to the Societies Fair on the 5th and 6th of October. At Warwick we have over 220 societies for you to get involved with. Getting involved in societies is a great way to try new things, meet people with common interests, pick up transferable skills, and to make the best out of your Warwick experience! Warwick SU also helps run 80 sports clubs which accommodate students at any and every level- so whether you’re interested in trying something out, or whether you’re interested in competing nationally, there’s something for you to get involved with.
