Sabb Blab Now that the madness of RAG Week has passed and the end of term is drawing near, it’s time to switch our attention to Pride Week. Warwick Pride do so much work to raise awareness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, undefined and asexual students - I’d especially recommend attending ‘Love Music Hate Homophobia’, a live music event that’s taking place in The Copper Rooms on Monday 24th November!

Societies Officer societies@ warwicksu. com

Our students also never lose sight of global and national issues, as proved by UNICEF On Campus’s World AIDS Awareness Day on Monday 1st December. With a number of phenomenal speakers as well as cake sales and music performances in the Atrium, it’s a shining example of the commitment our students show every day on behalf of their societies. This is the final Bubble of term, and what a term it’s been. I’d like to close by saying thanks to all of you who make the SU the vibrant place it is - it’s been an absolute pleasure to represent you, and I hope you have a restful Christmas! - ISAAC LEIGH

GUM Clinics – Term 2

There are many myths surrounding student housing, meaning that students often rush into signing contracts or make snap decisions which they later end up regretting. However, many of these are just that: myths. If you’ve started worrying about securing accommodation off-campus next year, don’t – instead, come along to our annual HOUSING DAY on Wednesday 26th November (Week 9) in the SU Atrium. Here you’ll be able to talk to representatives from the SU Advice Centre, Warwick Accommodation, Sabbatical Officers and other relevant organisations on the various different options available. The important thing is not to rush into a decision which could end up having a major effect on your remaining years at University. Last year we helped thousands of students make the right choice – hopefully we can help you do the same!

A couple of dates for your diary if you want to get yourself checked out for sexually-transmitted infections on campus next term – our mobile GUM Clinics are due to be held on 20th January (Week 3) and 3rd March (Week 9) in Meeting Rooms 4-5 of SUHQ!
