Sabb Blab Thanks to everyone who came along to our Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness Day in Week 7 – we hope you all found the information and sessions useful! As always, if you missed out then don’t forget that there’s plenty of information on local support services available for students up on the SU Advice Centre’s webpages (www. warwicksu.com/advice). Next term will also see the return of our Feel Good campaign, which aims to help you stay in the best possible shape during exam season!

The last fortnight of term sees the final of this year’s Battle of the Bands competition, along with the return of Latin Night and the GUM Clinic in Week 9. Curiositea will also be running their menu of Easter Treats once again in Week 10 – read on for full details of everything that’s going on, and have a great Easter! - BEBE HUSAKOVA

news in brief Officer Elections 2015 By the time you’re reading this, the student body will have elected a new Officer Team for the 201516 academic year – make sure you visit www.warwicksu.com/elections to find out the results and see who’ll be representing you!

GUM Clinic – Tuesday Week 9 Tuesday 3rd March will be your last chance in Term 2 to get yourself checked out for sexuallytransmitted infections as the mobile GUM Clinic returns to Meetings Rooms 4/5 of SUHQ between 11:30am-5:30pm. As always, it’s free, confidential and there’s no need to make an appointment – just turn up on the day and you’ll be seen as soon as possible.

Where’s Warwick the Bear? To help celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary, each week a different sports club or society will have custody of ‘Warwick the Bear’ and choose a mystery location on campus for him to visit. Pictures will be uploaded onto their Facebook page each Monday, and all correct answers will be entered into a prize draw – when the location is revealed, they’ll provide details of its history so can find out how the University got to where it is today!

Help Us Help You 2015 A huge thanks to everyone who took the time to send us their feedback in this year’s survey – we’ll be mulling it all over during the coming months and will report back on any progress as a result of your comments. In the meantime, check your email to see whether you’ve won event tickets, SU meal vouchers or more in our prize draw! Want to see your society event featured in a future issue? Email chris.carter@warwicksu.com with all the details!

BATTLE OF THE BANDS Over the past 5 weeks, the great, the good, the passable and the just plain bobbins have all taken to the stage in Copper Rooms 2 at Bandsoc’s annual Battle of the Bands tournament. The heat judges have now finished rating and slating all the possible contenders, meaning that we’re down to the crème de la crème of Warwick’s musical talent as the competition enters its knockout phase! As usual, the remaining events will showcase a wide range of genres, from indie and funk to death metal, post-hardcore and even singer-songwriters. The full line-ups are as follows:

POP! featuring THE CHUCKLE BROTHERS The Copper Rooms has played host to a wide range of credible and influential artists over the years - everyone from Alt-J and Chase & Status to Wild Beasts and Tinie Tempah have graced our stage at pivotal moments in their careers. But now, we’ve topped everything we’ve achieved in the past by booking the Godfathers of contemporary art; the Gods of pop music, if you will. For one night only on Wednesday of Week 9, Warwick SU proudly presents… THE CHUCKLE BROTHERS… LIVE! They’ll be performing their critically lauded uber-hit, To Me, To You (Bruv), which featured Tinchy Stryder. Come and party with Barry and Paul and join us in celebrating the illustrious careers of one of the UK’s finest examples of where high art and popular culture can meet.
