Ahh, it’s that time of year again… Term 3. If you’re an undergrad, you’ll be spending a painful amount of time migrating between your bed and your ‘favourite’ spot in the library. However, fear not, because Warwick SU is here to make your life more bearable: the Summer Party is just round the corner! Last year’s line-up was a tough act to follow, but we’ve only gone and booked CLEAN BANDIT - as well as the incredible Foxes and Zane Lowe, to name just a few! For £39, you really can’t go wrong. Until then, to keep you going, The Bread Oven has extended its opening hours to include Saturdays during Weeks 3-8. If you feel a particular warmth for Homer Simpson, Week 4 is also Doughnut week in Curiositea! In all seriousness, Term 3 is a difficult time of year. Don’t forget to keep eating right, drink plenty of water throughout the day and make sure you’re sleeping enough. For more information, head over to www.warwicksu.com/feelgood where we’ve put together some content to keep you healthy. So, that’s all from me - good luck with your exams! - Cosmo March

news in brief May Day Bank Holiday

SUHQ will be closed for Bank Holiday Monday in Week (5th May), but don’t fret if you fancy grabbing a drink or a bite to eat from us! The Bread Oven, Curiositea, The Dirty Duck and Xananas will all be open as per our usual Monday trading hours (food service at The Duck will be available from Noon-9pm).

Warwick Folk Maylidh – Thursday Week 3

Our very own Folk Society will be holding a special May Ceilidh event – cunningly dubbed a ‘Maylidh’ – right here in the Atrium on May 8th. Come along from 7:30pm to check it out or take part in this fun stress-busting activity – everyone’s welcome!

Postgraduate Research Students Reception – Wednesday Week 4

All PG research students are invited to attend a reception hosted by the Induction Team on 14th May. The evening is an opportunity for new researchers to find out more about life as a PhD student at Warwick and for returning researchers to extend their network and remind yourself of the ways that the University can help you with your research degree. The event will be followed by a Postgraduate Association social in Curiositea from 7pm! For more info and to sign up online, visit www2.warwick.ac.uk/study/welcome/firstweeks/pgrreception/mayevent/

PG Dissertation Station

If you’re a postgraduate student writing your dissertation, the PG Hub is here to help! From academic skills workshops and drop-in sessions with writing mentors to yoga classes and wellbeing advice, there’s plenty going on to support you during what can be a stressful time. There’s even a relaxation room with beanbags, bubbles and music if you need somewhere to take a break! Check out their website for more details: www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/ library/pghub/dissertation/ Want to see your society event featured in a future issue?
