TAKE A CRUISE ON A PONTOON - Long Lake is a local favorite, stretching 19 miles in length. Rentals are available on the lake and the views are superb.

RENT A FAT BIKE & HIT THE TRAIL - Our top pick for fall, the Wild Cat Mountain Bike Trail. Over 20 miles of trails wind through county forest land. The views are incredible.

HOP IN THE CAR & EXPLORE A FALL COLOR ROUTE - The Scenic Drives brochure offers a variety of routes to explore the best roads for fall color viewing.

KAYAK IN A NATIONAL PARK - Head to the Namekagon River: Wisconsin’s Moving National Park for a peaceful fall float. You may even want to make it an afternoon by stopping at one of the boat-in campsites along the river’s edge.

LACE UP YOUR HIKING BOOTS - Whether it’s the Trego Nature Trail, Stone Lake Wetland Park, Spooner City Park Trails, or Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary, you’ll find incredible views from the hiking trails in Washburn County.

TAKE A STEP BACK IN TIME WITH THE HISTORICAL TOUR - From one-room schoolhouses to local mysteries (some unsolved), you’ll love exploring the fall colors and learning the history of this beautiful northwoods destination.

RENT AN ATV & EXPLORE THE TRAILS WITH THE ATV SCENIC TOUR - With over 35 stops traversing the 100+ mile ATV system, any day is a perfect day to rent an ATV and explore the beauty of the Washburn County trail system.

TEE UP AT THE GOLF COURSE - Fall is the ideal time to hit up one of the area golf courses. The views are amazing in the summer, but when the fall colors start to pop, it’s hard to keep your eye on the golf ball.
