Training Overview

Understanding how to add a picture to a website is just one small component. This comprehensive course introduces the basic fundamentals of HTML5 and CSS3, so you can build an impactful website from scratch. By using these powerful tools, you’ll be able to control and master every aspect of the webpage.

Certifications

Upon successful completion of this training, students may choose to sit for the Certified Web Designer Apprentice (CWDSA-apprentice) examination, which measures fundamental competencies for aspiring or practicing web designers.

Michigan Works!

Michigan Works! provides training dollars through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding. To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen and registered with Selective Service (if applicable) to receive services under the adult program. Priority is given to those on public assistance, with low income or those who need basic skills. Training may be available to eligible employed as well as unemployed adults.

Visit your local Michigan Works! agency online to learn how to access funds for training.

Private Loans

Financial institutions such as banks, credit unions and others may offer private loans to pay for training. If you are considering a private loan to pay for your training, you are encouraged to thoroughly research prospective lenders and their terms prior to applying for a private loan.

Ask yourself the following questions prior to applying for a private loan:

• How much do I really need to borrow to finance my training? • Do I need a co-signer for my loan? • What is the interest rate? Is it a fixed or variable rate? • What fees will I be expected to pay? • What are the repayment terms?

Air Force Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) is a way for enlisted members to earn industry recognized certifications and licenses to enhance active duty work and to prepare them for the civilian workforce.

Michigan National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program (MINGSTAP)

Class Drop/Refund Policy:

Drops are accepted up to the start of the first class. No refunds are given, for any reason, once the class starts. Mandatory fees will only be refunded if a class is dropped at least 72 hours prior to the start of the first class. To request a drop from a class:

Cancellations:

What is a CEU?

A CEU (continuing education unit) is a national measurement unit. One CEU equals ten classroom or equivalent hours, and is used to record, transfer and recognize participation in noncredit learning experiences.
