JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Content Manager Job Location: Waste Warriors Head Office, Dehradun Reporting to: Communications Manager / Chief Operations Officer

Introduction Waste Warriors is a registered society and non-profit solid waste management NGO, working in Dehradun, Dharamshala, and around the Corbett National Park region. We work through a combination of direct action, public awareness-raising, community engagement initiatives, and long-term partnerships with govt bodies.
Position Brief We are looking for a Content Manager at our head office in Dehradun, to work with the Communications Manager in content creation (planning, editing, design, scheduling), public relations (networking, partnerships, traditional and new media), community engagement (awareness materials, branding, promotions, media campaigns). This position will collaborate with all our SWM-related initiatives and awareness-raising projects organized by multiple teams across our three project locations.
Duties & Responsibilities ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
Liaising with team to source, design, schedule, and monitor content for posts and print. Editing, paraphrasing, translating (as needed), and reviewing content when drafted by team members for posts and print. Designing awareness/promotional materials using Adobe CC, Canva, or Google Slides. Organizing photos/videos and write-ups to develop content for branding and PR. Developing team skills on design and marketing through learning workshops. Ensuring teams maintain consistent WWS branding across all media. Supporting teams to improve media data management through Google Drive. Compiling content and improving designs for better grant reports and newsletters. Designing new and improving existing awareness and promotional items.

An Ideal Candidate Will: ●
Have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree or professional diploma (for example in Liberal Arts, Social Work, English, Media Studies, Mass Comm., Journalism, etc.)

Be fluently bilingual in written and spoken English and Hindi.
●
Have excellent English editing, proofreading, and paraphrasing skills.
●
Have intermediate knowledge of design software (Adobe, Canva).
●
Have beginner skills in photography/videography and video editing.
●
Have intermediate knowledge of Google Drive and Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
●
Have intermediate experience in using social media platforms effectively.
●
Have a genuine interest in working in the social sector.
●
Have basic knowledge of solid waste management and eager to learn more.
