Introduction Waste Warriors is a registered society and non-profit solid waste management NGO, working in Dehradun, Dharamshala, and around the Corbett National Park region. We work through a combination of direct action, public awareness-raising, community engagement initiatives, and long-term partnerships with govt bodies.
Position Brief We are looking for a Marketing Executive at our head office in Dehradun, to work with the Communications Manager and Content Manager in marketing campaign management, digital marketing and physical marketing.
Duties & Responsibilities ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
Study existing marketing activities on our channels and prepare a performance report. Consult on optimizing existing marketing efforts, and conceptualize and implement new campaigns. Develop content plans for the organisation and for each project team, and oversee the media ideation, development, and curation of these plans. Manage media and public relations channels including print, online magazines, FM radio and where possible, TV channels. Regularly update our social media channels, Youtube, and website, and build an active and engaged community around our Waste Warriors brand. Ensure that all our field activities are well-branded and accompanied with canopies, standees or other promotional materials. Organizing on-ground activations in terms of events, festivals, rallies, workshops, conferences, etc. Find out feasibility and execute out-of-home advertising solutions or any other growth hacks for greater visibility, including promotional activities and messaging in shops and point-of-sale terminals. Oversee the scripting, direction, editing, and promoting videos to be made for each project team, and for awareness-raising purposes and for other campaign-related ideas. Create and publish newsletters to existing list of subscribers and grow that list by 2x in next one year. An Ideal Candidate Will: ●
Have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree or professional diploma (for example in Media Studies, Mass Comm., Journalism, Language, etc.)
●
Be fluently bilingual in written and spoken English and Hindi.
●
Have excellent language editing, proofreading, and paraphrasing skills.
●
Have intermediate knowledge of design software (Adobe, Canva).
●
Have intermediate skills in photography/videography and video editing.
●
Have intermediate knowledge of Google Drive and Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
●
Have intermediate experience in using multiple social media platforms effectively.
●
Have a genuine interest in working in the social sector.
●
Have basic knowledge of solid waste management and eager to learn more.
Key Skills & Attributes: ●
