The Story of
FORU-Solution
FORU-Solution is a member of the Water Alliance and is based in Harlingen, a port city in the Northern Netherlands, along the Wadden Sea. The company developes oil skimmers which make it easy to clean up oil from the sea. The innovation is starting to get a lot of exposure worldwide, but getting there took years of hard work and belief in their abilities.

We helped FORU-Solution obtain financing through the water technology financing table and the Bison Foundation, all part of the WaterCampus. The financing enabled FORU-Solution to pre-finance their major projects in the Middle East. It is a great way to help an innovative SME take things to the next level. Netherlands

The company has been working hard on its own for years. Water Alliance provided support in the form of marketing (including publications in WaterProof Magazine), matchmaking and the WIS Award. The company’s patience was rewarded: oil company Aramco from Saudi Arabia signed a contract with FORU-Solution. FORU-Solution now has its own office in Saudi Arabia and provides training and consultancy there. The company’s ambitions go much further, however. “We have ongoing contacts with Russia, Indonesia and Vietnam”, says owner-director Koos Tamminga. “B2B takes a long time to get off the ground, but it will pay off. Slow and steady wins the race.”
