Message from the Principal

Hello OSW Families, Thanks to the OSO and all the families that made Science Night a success! The exhibit hall projects were awesome, and I applaud those students that came up with such cool presentations. On Thursday night, 5th graders participating in the Amazing Shake were put to the test during many interview stations where they had to display their talents related to manners, discipline, respect, and professional conduct. The family and community turnout was wonderful, and every student’s performance was impressive. Ten students made it to the next round, and will be “working the room” during a competition scheduled today at Filomena’s. Thank you so much to Mrs. Gallis for initiating and orchestrating this fantastic experience.

I would like to send special thanks to the men and women of the Coast Guard that have been volunteering at recent events. They, themselves, are great role models for our students and we appreciate all they do for our school and country. Finally, a well-deserved congratulations goes to Mrs. Kuhn in our cafeteria on the recent score of 100% during a recent visit from the health inspector. Thanks for all of your support and for such great kids! Enjoy the weekend! Joe Macrino Principal Oswegatchie Elementary School Waterford, CT 860-442-4331
