The Weekly 10.3.10

Music: it’s the universal language. Its beauty: subjective; its worth: priceless. What’s your preferred soundtrack for life? Gideon D’Arcangelo conducted a study which found when people are asked to identify what expresses them most, many will answer “music” - is your music collection an expression of who you are? In light of our inability as a culture to live without cranking our iPods and radios, we could think of no better way to thresh out pressing, relevant topics than through the language of song.

NOTES

next weekend :: guest musician Jeremy Current

Next weekend we will be joined on stage by local musician Jeremy Current. Jeremy will be performing some of his original music as part of the Playlist series, and will also have some of his music available in the cafe after Transit if you like what you hear. If you’d like to check out some of his music, point your browser to www.jeremycurrent.com for more info.

next Baptism :: December 5th (immediately following Transit)

Baptism is an ancient ritual of identifying yourself with Jesus Christ by symbolically re-enacting what Jesus has done for us. Baptism isn’t about committing to live life perfectly, but rather about being so thankful for Jesus that you are willing to be known as someone committed to following him. Come join us December 5th to celebrate as members of our community take part in this ancient practice of affirming their new life with Christ. If you are interested in being baptized, contact us at info@watershedcharlotte.com.

Our Greenhouse space is just on the other side of the wall, and provides kids with a safe, fun place to spend their morning.
