Lakeway Trail of Lights

54th Annual Austin Trail of Lights
December 10–23The Zilker Trail of Lights boasts more than 2 million lights, 65 displays, 30 food trucks, three entertainment stages and interactive experiences throughout the park. New for 2018: a 13-foot illuminated carriage, 12 seven-foot lighted guitars commemorating Austin’s musical roots and a 25-foot spiral holiday tree. The grand opening on December 10 is free. General admission for children under 12 is always free. General admission for visitors ages 13 and older is free on seven out of the 14 nights of the event. Early entry ZIP Fast Passes, VIP Platinum, parking and shuttle passes are also available for purchase on select nights. Zilker Park. 7-10 PM. austintrailoflights.org
Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
December 13-24One of Austin’s longest running art and music festivals, visitors can find upscale art, handmade gifts, stocking stuffers and more from more than 175 artists. $8 for a one-day pass; $60 for an advance season pass; kids 12 and under free.
