Mini Bus trip available to Smallhythe Place once home of Ellen Terry now owned by National Trust. In the 13th century one of the most significant ship-building centres of medieval England. A digital presentation will be given by a staff member in the theatre. If time permits visit the Chapel Down vineyard winery 2 min walk. Leaving at 3:45 pm and 5:00 pm respectively for the return to Bodiam.

Castle closes at 8:00pm.
from the 1st Hawkhurst Group will judge the entries for the boat with The Most Interesting Story Board.

Barbecue organised by National Trust with musical entertainment.
9:30 pm Illuminated Boat Display.
SUNDAY 11 am Mini Bus trip available to 12 noon Mini Bus trip available the old smuggling town of Rye. You are invited to take part in a photo challenge competition. Leaving at 4 pm for the return trip to Bodiam.
11 am Flag flying cruise to
Newenden (approx. one hour). Food available at the White Hart Inn or at Bodiam Boating Station Cafe.
11:40 am First train leaves
Bodiam for Tenterden. At Northiam (30 min) visit Toy and Pedal Car Museum or continue to Tenterden (one hour). Last train back from Tenterden to Bodiam 3:30 pm.
to Battle, the Battlefield site and Battle Abbey. Full Battlefield walk 45 min. short walk 20 min, or make a visit to ‘Yesterdays World’ exhibition in the High Street (not to be missed, allow at least one hour). Leaving at 3 pm for the return trip to Bodiam.

11 am Awards and Presentation by IWA National Chairman Les Etheridge and Kent and East Sussex Branch Chairman Mike Hannan.

For those remaining an organised walk is available along part of the Royal Military Canal from Iden Lock to Appledore. The 4 mile walk will take approx 2 hours and end at ‘Miss Mollett’s’ tea shop at Appledore (shorter option also available).

Royal Military Canal was built in a zig zag formation in 1806 with gun emplacements built on the northern bank against an impending invasion from the south.

2 miles east of Bodiam and will be marked. No services but barbecues permitted.
Bodiam - Please note own
barbecues are strictly not permitted.
Newenden - On ground
managed by Parish Council and will be marked. These are downstream of the bridge on the opposite bank to Bodiam Boating Station.

Opening hours Saturday 25th May 10:30 am - 8 pm Sunday, Monday 26th/27th May 10:30 am - 5 pm Entry Free entry to the castle for National Trust members. Special reduced ticket prices for boaters who are not National Trust Members will be available at £6.30. You will need to show your Bodiam Plaque for entry. Free entry to castle for all after 5:30 pm on Saturday.

There are no shops in Bodiam and boaters are advised to stock up in Rye before slipping their boat. The Mini Bus will be available to take boaters to the shop in Sandhurst at 9:00 am on both Sunday and Monday mornings.

Only organic type toilet fluid is acceptable
Toilet Disposal is a sensitive issue at Bodiam and special facilities will be made available between 8:00am and 8:30am on Sunday and Monday.
Alternatively you could use plain water in the holding tank for your short stay at Bodiam.
Boaters must not empty toilets containing Elsan Blue type fluid at Bodiam. National Trust toilets at Bodiam must not be used for emptying boat toilets.
