Welcome to Wattle Grove and our February On-Farm Female Sale. It is with great pleasure we offer you the opportunity to purchase females and genetics from the very heart of our herd.
Our female herd has always been based on structure, temperament, fertility, doability and longevity. 17 years of breeding Speckle Park has given us ample opportunity to witness first hand what works and what doesn’t. Our long standing relationship with Codiak Acres has given us access to some of the best Speckle Park females in the world and pedigree lines that are consistently high quality. We feel very privileged and grateful for our cow herd and we are excited to offer a selection of females that we know will complement any purebred or commercial herd in Australia. All purebred cattle have been Wattle Grove Accredited and assessed for temperament. Scores average 2.5 (very good) - 3 (good) for Accreditation. Temperament scores are 3 or below across the sale group. You can learn more about our WG Accreditation program via our website or pick up a copy of the guidebook from the sale office.
The decision to hold a set price on farm sale was made to allow buyers plenty of time to assess the cattle, research what will work in their herd and make selections all with the comfort of a set price and the ability to work unencumbered within your own budget. As the sale is first in, first served we encourage you to act on your decisions to ensure you go home with the cattle you want.
The simplicity of this catalogue is also to encourage you to attend the sale in person. There really is nothing like seeing cattle in the flesh. You are welcome to spend as long as you need in the pens, ask any and all questions, enjoy the Wattle Grove hospitality and make your selections in a relaxed, low stress environment.
If you are unable to attend in person, please get in touch. We are happy to do video calls, take photos and spend time on the phone with you to assist in making your selections. Should you need your purchases blooded we are able to provide this service at Allora QLD before the cattle reach their final destination. INSPECTIONS
All sale cattle will be onsite Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February. Gates open from 10am each day. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day and into the evening.
SET PRICE SALE
Each lot has a set price stated in the catalogue. Purchases are made on a first in, first served basis. Volume discounts will be negotiated on a case by case basis and we encourage you to talk to the team over the sale days to get the best deal.
INVOICING
Invoices will be created as purchases are made. Please fill in your trading details on the back page of this catalogue and hand in at the sale office to finalise your purchases.
STAY AT HOME OPTIONS
Should you be unable to attend we welcome you to give us a call to discuss what you’re looking for. We’re happy to spend the time on video calls, taking photos and videos to assist with your purchasing decisions.
FERTILITY GUARANTEE
All purebred females have had internal palpation to ensure reproductive health. All bulls have had Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluations including semen testing. All cattle are guaranteed to be fertile at the time of the sale. If you have concerns regarding your animal’s fertility post sale please get in touch with us.
PREGNANCY SCANNING & CALVES
All live calves will be registered with the WGS prefix and are sold as registration pending.
All PTIC animals were pregnancy scanned in February. Due to the vagaries of pregnancy aging if, upon DNA test, the calf is shown not to be of the parentage described, please contact us, and we will provide details to ascertain the correct parentage.
DISCLAIMER
Every endeavour has been made regarding the accuracy of the pedigrees of the calves and pregnancies in this sale. In the case of an error in the parentage described, provided we can ascertain the true sire, Wattle Grove does not assume any responsibility for the error. In the unlikely event that a calf cannot be verified to any parentage Wattle Grove will refund 1/3 of the purchase price of the Lot in question.
INSURANCE
All care will be taken with the cattle sold and awaiting delivery. Cattle become the responsibility of the purchaser upon provision of a tax invoice. We strongly recommend taking insurance on your purchases.

WHEN YOU GET YOUR CATTLE HOME
Speckle Park cattle have a very strong herd instinct. For some of these animals it will be the first time they have been separated from their mates and that can cause stress and unusual behaviour. We recommend having appropriate cattle in the yards to welcome your purchased cattle home.
