Understanding that good and evil can exist simultaneously

I like to talk. Sometimes when I am talking with people, they will say to me that I am a good storyteller.

I don’t feel like a good storyteller, I just like to talk, but then I guess when push comes to shove, talking is like telling a story.

By contrast, I like to hear other people’s stories. I find that people are fascinating when they tell you a tidbit of their history or a story about an event from the past. Jesus uses a type of storytelling in the Bible that we have developed a name for called a “parable.” A parable is a story made up to be an example of something, usually how to live, or how God acts in the world. A lot of Jesus’ parables have to do with some type of agriculture.
