ESOL Skills for Life Resources
This is a comprehensive set of materials designed to provide an exemplar of teaching the English language to adult learners, from Entry 1 to Level 2. Included are learner materials and teacher notes. All language skills’ teaching is set within appropriate adult contexts: community, work, family or general interest. Teaching of skills is systematic and cumulative, covering all elements of the adult ESOL core curriculum. Full teacher notes and guidance are provided. Teachers can use the materials as they are but it is the intention of the materials that they should be used as a model for adaptation for particular learners or groups of learners. These materials will be of interest to a wide range of teachers in all settings, including Skills for Life, functional skills and key skills teaching and learning. Vocational, employability and community teachers will find useful resources in the embedded learning materials.
