LEANING TOWER OF TEXAS A SLIGHT DETOUR OFF ROUTE 66 WILL TAKE YOU TO OUR NEXT WHIMSICAL LANDMARK IN GROOM, TEXAS.
This oddity, a slanting, defunct water tower, was installed to attract customers to a local truck stop. It worked! By deliberately leaning the tower, many tourists stopped to take pictures and visit the area.
