Math-By-Mail for Middle School and High School Prep The Middle School Math by Mail curriculum was created by current middle school math teachers with 40+ years of combined experience! Minnesota State Standards, Math Frameworks MCA strands, and current Minnesota Benchmarks are the foundation for this curriculum. Each student will be given a pre-test in late-June to assess the appropriate skill level necessary to strengthen their individual math needs. Students will receive 8 packets to complete at their own pace. As students finish packets, they are mailed back for feedback and then returned to the students. Tanya Ravnholdt and Brent Lackas

Keep your math skills sharp over the summer! Math by Mail was developed to review math concepts for students just completing kindergarten or 1st grade, or students who have just completed grades 2-5. It offers practice of previously learned concepts to keep skills sharp and build confidence. Students take a pre-test to individualize their program, then receive 10 weeks of lessons. Speech & Debate and Creative Writing Camp Camp will be packed with fun and interactive activities to expose beginners to public speaking and writing. Students learn confident presentation skills, audience connectedness, control of speaking anxiety, vocal variety, and use of nonverbal communication techniques. Students will also learn how to give a unique, precise, and effective voice to their writing. Half of the day is Speech and Debate and the other half is Creative Writing. The studio is heated to about body temperature with added humidity. We use simple yoga poses and pauses to target every joint, tissue, organ, muscle and gland in the body. Wayzata Badminton Team
Interested in the most fast-paced sport in the world? The co-ed competitive badminton team sponsored by Community Education provides opportunities for students to engage in badminton through learning, playing and competing. Students will gain the skills necessary to play at a competitive level through skills training, free play and inter-school tournaments. Participation in competitions is expected of all members, but not required. Competitions are separate, and participants will register on their own. PROJECT SOAR
Adults with Disabilities Program For over 30 years, Project SOAR has been a leader in providing options and positive experiences for adults with disabilities through Community Education. Project SOAR provides specially designed enrichment classes in arts, crafts, sewing and cooking as well as offering recreational activities such as bowling, bingo and dances to meet the diverse needs of our participants. Project Soar will provide accommodations such as sign language interpreters for participants to gain access to these classes and activities if needed. Wayzata Early Learning School Wayzata Early Learning School is an all-inclusive early childhood school.
