The Best Ever Art Camp This is a fan favorite camp! From snow globes, projects that glowin-the-dark, and messy clay masterpieces, these are the most requested projects of all time! We’ll do them all in one highly anticipated camp. Kids can’t get enough of this stuff and it’s guaranteed to be an artsy good time! Kidcreate Studio

Draw into Mindfulness Come to this awesome and fun class and learn to draw as you experience some cool mindfulness techniques. Each day, we’ll incorporate mindfulness activities and games, as we learn how to use art as an amazing mindfulness tool. This is a wonderful program to calm our mind while having a blast learning to draw. Dress in recess attire. Abrakadoodle

Glow-in-the-Dark Art Camp These projects will rock your child’s world long after the lights go out at night. You guessed it, all the projects we create in this camp will glow-in-the-dark! How cool is that?! We’ll work with a variety of different art supplies including clay, paint, and luminescent materials to create masterpieces your child will be ready to show off in the dark! Be-Dazzled Do you love art and things that sparkle? Then this is the camp for you! In this awesome camp, we’ll draw, paint and collage, make projects with sparkling paper maché, sculpt with glittery clay and make cool accessories to wear and more. Then come to this amazing camp where you’ll have a wonderful time experimenting with your favorite art materials like clay, canvas, watercolors, pastels, paper maché and more! We’ll draw, paint, sculpt and collage unique art projects to take home - from cute cats to delicious cupcakes. Students surely will have a blast at this camp! It’s a great class for siblings. Frozen Art Camp Come experience the magic of winter in a whole new way! This camp inspired by the Disney movie Frozen will entertain and delight your child. They‘ll create snow globes, clay sculptures, sparkly castle scenes and more, featuring their favorite characters from the movie. Project Runway ‘18 New summer projects! Make a sundress, satchel, sunglasses case and more with designs made with your own hands! Students will learn multiple hand and machine sewing techniques, practice on basic projects and try more complicated ones. Students walk the runway the last class for family and friends wearing the projects they created. Youth Enrichment League

Canvas Fun: Fireworks & Surfboards Join us for a fun day of painting! Create a colorful night scene with fireworks shooting into the night sky. Paint with acrylic paints on an 11” x 14” stretched canvas. We will also paint a beach scene of surfboards in the sand against a colorful sky on a canvas tote bag. Java Minecraft Modding: Custom Armor New Class! We will create custom armor. Learn to mod Minecraft using Java and the Forge API and customize your gaming experience. Students will be introduced to coding concepts and learn how to use Eclipse, a professional tool to edit and debug code. Students need to be comfortable with keyboarding and playing Minecraft. Mods go home to share with family and friends. Bring a USB drive. Computer Explorers

3-D Printing - Minecraft Creations Students will explore the basic concepts of 3-D printing and computer-aided design, or CAD, to bring their most awesome Minecraft creations to life! Students will take their Minecraft design and learn how to extrude it into a 3-D model that can be printed in 3-D. Students will come home with creations using a 3-D pen and working files that can be uploaded to a 3rd party 3-D Printing website. 3-D pen nibs can reach very high temperatures. Care and control must be exercised by each student to avoid injury. Engineering for Kids

Electronic Game Design Defeat the Creeper We will create our own Defeat the Creeper game using the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. We will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5ÂŽ to bring our storyboard to life with programming. Everyone takes home a working Windows-compatible game. NOTE: (Clickteam Fusion 2.5ÂŽ does not support Mac or Android operating systems.) Engineering for Kids

Advanced Minecraft: Command Block New Class! Wire up your Minecraft worlds with Command Blocks and Redstone! Even if you’re a pro, there’s plenty to learn from basic traps to powered machines. Redstone offers a whole new range of opportunities to create amazing things. Minecraft Command Block is a pseudo-programming language consisting of logic and execution written in text. Learn to spawn creatures, teleport over your world, and make multiplayer games. Computer Explorers

Intro to Video Game Design with Nintendo Characters All New Game Tutorial! Working in pairs, create an interactive 2D video game using your FAVORITE characters. We scoured the Scratch website and assembled a collection of the most popular game sprites. Choose characters from Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Sonic, and Mario! The first classes we will learn to use scratch, and on the final session, students will be walked through creating a working arcade style - game picking which main character to use. Computer Building with Piper & Raspberry Pi Learn to build with Piper, the computer that prepares kids for a lifetime of building technology! As students build Piper and progress through the games, both technical skills and approaches that lead to inventive solutions are developed. Math-By-Mail for Middle School and High School Prep For students entering grades 6-9. Created by current middle school math teachers with 40+ years of combined experience! Minnesota State Standards, Math Frameworks MCA strands, and current Minnesota Benchmarks are the foundation for this curriculum. Each student will be given a pre-test to assess the appropriate skill level necessary to strengthen their individual skills. Pre-tests will be mailed by June 25. Students will then receive 8 packets to complete at their own pace. As students finish packets, they are mailed back for feedback and then returned to the students. Tanya Ravnholdt

Summer Math by Mail Keep your math skills sharp over the summer! Math by Mail was developed to renew math concepts for students just completing kindergarten or 1st grade, or for students who have completed grades 2-5. It offers practice of previously learned concepts to keep skills sharp and build confidence. Students will take a pre-test to individualize their program. Pre-tests will be mailed by June 25. Students will then receive nine weeks of lessons. After students have completed a week’s worth of work, they mail it in. We’ll make corrections, provide comments and mail it back. Bike Skills Ride safe and smart this summer! Learn the skills to feel comfortable and confident on your bike at any level! •

Level One class includes on-pavement biking, basic bike handling skills and traffic safety.

Level Two includes technical bike skills and off-road biking.

Level Three covers more advanced technical and fitness bike skills, off-road and trail riding. Level Three may also include an off-road bike ride at a local trail head.

Parents must provide transportation. Each level will include fun games in a high energy, inclusive environment! All classes are taught by the head coach and captains of the Wayzata Mountain Bike Team.
