Connection. It is something many have hungered for over the past year. In Community Ed, connection was what we strived for throughout the pandemic. Like you, we found new ways of doing things during the pandemic, always focused on how to keep our community connected. This fall, that goal continues.
FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Community Ed exists to help you — our E-12 students, families and community — to thrive and be successful in school and life. We collaborate with students, families, neighbors, community leaders and staff to create a culturally-responsive community that values diversity and creates pathways for each and every member of our community. One way we will do that is through growing connections. We invite you to connect this fall! Here are some ways to join in: • Pursue classes and activities of interest to you. We have options for people of all ages. Scan through our catalog to see the wide range of fun, engaging classes available this fall! • Share your skills and passion by teaching a class. A great way to connect is to share your knowledge with your neighbors. No teaching credentials required! Learn more at wayzataschools. info/teach-a-class. • Attend adult basic education to earn your GED or learn English (for non-English speakers). Both in-person and online classes are available. We can help you develop the skills you need to achieve your long-term education and employment goals. See page 12 for more information.
We’re listening! Email your questions and ideas to communityed@ wayzataschools.org
