Dear Westminster Family and Friends, The goal of Westminster Christian Academy since its inception in 1976 has been to provide an excellent education designed to strengthen the spiritual and moral character of our students and enable them to engage the world and change it for Jesus Christ. God has blessed our school and community in pursuit of this life-changing education. We have experienced significant growth as more and more Christian families in the St. Louis metropolitan area look to their churches and the Christian school to lay a transformative foundation in the lives of their children. The rapidly changing and complex world that we face today will demand a great deal from our young people during the 21st century. Dramatic advances and innovations in science and technology, emerging trends and issues in a global world, and the secularization of our culture will require new and better ways of teaching and learning. Now more than ever we need strong Christian schools like Westminster to educate and equip young people for effective service and leadership that will build the Kingdom of Christ on earth. Dear Westminster Family and Friends, Westminster Christian Academy provides Christian families in St. Louis a distinctive option for schooling. Thanks to all in the Westminster Christian Academy Community who are also part of The Micah Project Family! And if you’re not yet, please consider it! The Micah Project is a non-profit organization in Tegucigalpa, Honduras that has two group homes for young men and boys, an outreach to street children and a variety of other ministries to the neediest people in the city. The young men in our group homes, all of whom spent anguished childhoods on the streets or in impoverished homes, are now learning to become Christian leaders through discipleship, formal education and opportunities to develop their talents by serving others. The Micah Project was founded and is led by WCA graduate, Michael Miller. Our goal is to support these young men as they learn to “act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with their God.” (Micah 6:8).
