FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Family and Friends, I am pleased to present to you our 2021-2022 Annual Report.

Looking back on the past year fills me with gratitude for the Lord’s faithfulness to Westminster Christian Academy and for the generosity of supporters like you.

Last year, 443 individuals stood with Westminster, helping us complete our first full year of WestminsterYOU, extend $3.2 million in tuition grants, launch 179 graduates into Kingdom service, and more.

When you read the following pages, I hope you are encouraged by the Lord’s goodness to our school and inspired by the gifts our students discover and share.

There is beauty in the Westminster community as Christ is reflected in our students, teachers, and families. As we pursue our school theme of Holiness this year, I am eager to see the heart of Jesus displayed more and more through the way we learn, teach, give, coach, pray, and serve in Christian community.

Please celebrate the past year with us, and join us anew in proclaiming Christ’s excellencies through every thought, word, and deed.

Thank you again for your support in educating and equipping this generation of young Christian leaders.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express my sincere gratitude for everyone who plays such an important role in the health, growth, and success of Westminster Christian Academy.

From students and parents to volunteers and donors to faculty and staff, we are surrounded by an amazing community. It is an honor to serve on the Board and witness God’s provision over our school year after year.

“The holiness theme is a refreshing reminder to my students that we are to do all things, not to please men (or parents, coaches, teachers, and friends), but to honor and glorify Jesus. Keeping the focus there should bring us closer to holiness in our hearts and motivations.”
JEFF GALL, PH.D History Department Chair

CHRIST SHINING THROUGH Academics, Athletics & the Arts

From studies to sports to special events, students aim to put Christ first when using their gifts. Last year, Westminster celebrated achievements in and out of the classroom, including multiple state championships, visual and fine arts awards, national merit commendations, and more!

It’s exciting to see God’s glory reflected through the way students learn, play, and create.

MISSION

Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

REFLECTING THE JOY OF

Christ in Community

We love it when alumni, students, families, and friends come together for fellowship and fun. From Homecoming, Spirit Week, and RPS 2022 to Grandparents Day and Parent-Led Socials, the 2021-2022 school year was filled with joy and community.

Pursuing Holiness at School

Kate Harper, Grade 12

“I’m grateful for the way Westminster encourages me to live a holy life by being reminded of God’s unfailing love in class each day, which makes me want to serve Him with all that I do.”

Benji Mitchell, Grade 10

“Having Jesus as my standard, especially at school, helps me to make thoughtful and God-pleasing decisions. I can recall the actions of Jesus and attempt to best achieve the commandments of God.”

Will Koenig, Grade 9

“This year’s theme of holiness provides a constant reminder of what I should strive for in this life. It directs my gaze and attention to Christ and the mission He has put upon me to glorify and reflect His holiness.”

Katie Shoemaker, Grade 10

“I appreciate how Westminster prepares me to live a holy life by teaching me that I am set apart by God. Westminster has taught me that God is always present and that I can honor him in everything I am learning academically, athletically, and in my life as a whole.”

18 STUDENT REFLECTIONS

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

We Thank God for You!

I stand in awe of the generosity of our community. Time and again, you go above and beyond in giving, serving, and praying to ensure students are prepared to engage our world and change it for Jesus Christ.

Exceeding our annual goal with $3.3 million in giving is a testimony to the Lord’s faithfulness and your willingness to be used by Him to further our mission. Thank you!

Within these pages, I hope you see the fruit of your giving – a vibrant, innovative, and excellent Christian education for young men and women in St. Louis.

As we continue this year, guided by our school theme of Holiness, I anticipate seeing God’s goodness even more as students grow in their knowledge, skills, friendships, and faith.

Thank you again for your commitment to Westminster. God continues to work through your prayers and gifts to prepare students for college and career and to reflect Christ in all they do.

With Gratitude, Jeremy Marsh, Head of Institutional Advancement

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
