Volunteer Opportunity— WCCC 7th Annual Family Fest Saturday, September 22 The 7th Annual WCCC Family Fest will be held on the Youngwood WCCC Campus on Saturday, September 22 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the Founders Hall Student Center & Gym. The Family Fest event is a community service project raising food and funds for the Westmoreland County Food Bank geared to families with young children ages 3 to 12 and is organized by the WCCC Campus Activities Board. Family Fest is advertised in all local school districts, through the WCCC website and community posters. The admission is a donation of canned foods for the Westmoreland County Food Bank. Student involvement is crucial for this event to continue thriving! Our attendance last year hit a record breaking 600 people and we expect a similar size crowd this year. Please consider participating in this worthwhile event. ECE students have taken part previously by reading books to the children related to the theme of the Family Fest. This year’s theme is “Enchanted Forest.” There are many other activities planned where volunteers are needed so check with Beth or Nancy if you can help. You can also contact Kelly Carpenter, Coordinator of Student Activities and campus Activities Board Advisor, at 724-925-4055 or carpenterk@wccc.edu.
