ORIGIN Hood River, OR - 2008 We are skiers and snowboarders who live for deep snow and big mountains. Accessing the mountains however we can, we travel by skins, boots, sleds, and chairlifts, driven by our passion and protected by the gear on our bodies. Climbing, sleeping, and shredding in snowy mountains inspires creativity and feeds our imagination. We started building gear that stands up to the rigors of backcountry abuse while also representing the unique cultures of backcountry snowboarders and skiers. These are nomads and pioneers who have gone to great lengths and efforts to spend way too much time chasing pow in the mountains. materials Superfabric ® Private Reserve 3-Layer Fabric No compromise. Premium fabrics built for the pursuit of powder. Private Reserve is a well-known area to Mt. Hood shredders. It boasts the gnarliest lines on the mountain and hides the deepest snow. Wet and wild Cascade weather and the rugged terrain render the area completely unpredictable – and the only way to ride Private Reserve is to explore. The search is rewarded with deep snow as every turn pushes you to discover more. The Private Reserve for your backcountry adventures is the collection of hidden glades and cascading pillow lines yet to be discovered. Our Private Reserve Fabrics are engineered for our unforgiving Northwest backcountry environment, and we believe they are the best suited to bring you comfortably to your own private stash. Four years of technical outerwear design and development and collective lifetimes of backcountry shredding have led us to develop our Private Reserve 3-Layer Fabric. The Private Reserve label is our highest benchmark of quality; if a fabric carries the PR label then it has the TREW guarantee for durability and performance. TREW’s Private Reserve 3L fabric blends rugged durability with performance and comfort. The high-density construction of the face fabric forms a durable, smooth surface that sheds snow and water, preventing moisture absorption and maintaining the breathability of the membrane. Private Reserve 3L uses Toray Industries’s premium polyurethane membrane: the DERMIZAX EV. A well-tested and highly versatile membrane for heavy-duty applications, the DERMIZAX EV blends extreme waterproofness with high water vapor permeability. The inside of our 3L fabric is finished with a supple 20d tricot backing that lends a newlevel of comfort to our durable hard shell garments. Superfabric® abrasion resistant textiles provide an extremely durable barrier to abrasions and cuts while allowing for flexibility due to the configuration of the protective “armor plates.” We use Superfabric® to protect the instep and cuff of all of our outer layer pants and bibs, ensuring durability and extending the life of the garment.
Primaloft ONE ® We use Primaloft ONE® for our insulated mid-layer, the Polar Shift. Primaloft ONE® is the highest performing insulation on the market for warmth, water resistance, softness, and compressibility. It uses an ultrafine micro fiber insulation that is warmer wet and dry then all other insulation types. It absorbs less water, dries quicker, and retains loft and insulating properties for your comfort and happiness.
Polartec Power Shield ® We use Polartec’s Power Shield® because of its blend of all weather protection, stretch comfort, and high breathability. Power Shield features an abrasion resistant face fabric, a perforated membrane to enhance breathability and block wind, and an insulating fleece liner that provides a level of comfort uncommon to performance fabrics.

TECH / DETAILS We are dedicated to building products with integrity and creativity, and we use high quality trims and technical construction techniques that enhance the performance and durability of the garment.
YKK Aquaguard ® Zippers We use YKK’s Aquaguard® Zippers on all external pockets and closures. On the Center Front zippers we use YKK’s Aquaguarg® Vislon zippers for a more durable and protective seal and a smoother sliding action for the wearer.
3L Seam Tape We use a durable 3-layer seam tape with a supple tricot backing on all seams of our 3-layer garments. This ensures a waterproof barrier for complete foulweather protection, as well as adding durability to the construction of the seam.
Laser Cut and Welded Pockets All of our pocketed closures are laser cut with the water-resistant zipper welded to the fabric with a durable thermoplastic adhesive. This creates a weatherproof seal and allows for a lightweight and less bulky pocket construction.
3D Raised Logo The branding on our hard shell garments feature an innovative 3D Raised Logo treatment that is more durable and longer lasting then embroidery. The logo is embossed through the fabric without compromising the properties of the fabric, and we add color to the outside with protective polyurethane overlay tape.
Poly Knit Liner We use a comfortable polyester knit on all pocket liners and collars. This unique fabric has a smooth and soft feel that won’t pile like fleece, and its moisture wicking properties make it an excellent liner on the inside of your shell.
WOVEN LABELS Every Trew Gear piece of apparel shows off its singlular style with a unique woven label specific to that product and color story. We pay attention to details.
