WHO IS MUSICOPIA “Musicopia’s unwavering mission for 47 years is to provide opportunities for children to experience, learn, perform, and appreciate music. Founded by a string quartet in 1974, Musicopia is a leader in revitalizing school music programs in the Greater Philadelphia area, providing equitable access to music programming for youth attending under-resourced schools.” WCUSO AND ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL GOAL With our partnership to support the programs that Musicopia offers, our goal is to raise funds and resources to better serve our community together. As it stands, Musicopia provides instrumental instruction, in-school programs, musical residencies, year-round coaching, and a program that delivers free instruments to students who need them. Their students are able to participate in the Musicopia String Orchestra, the Musicopia Drumline, or dance classes with their partnership with Dance Classrooms Philly. Most specifically, we aim to provide instruments and funds for the purchase of instruments. Please join us as you are able for this meaningful endeavor.
