Elegies
The Concert Band celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of John Zdechlik’s iconic Chorale and Shaker Dance along with performances of Carol Brittin Chambers’ Kalos Eidos and the playful Cat and Mouse by Robert Spittal. The Wind Symphony will feature Zach Walter, co-winner of the 2021 Wind Symphony Concerto competition performing Alexander Artunian’s Trumpet Concerto, and undergraduate composition student Malaika Paralkar will present the world premiere of her Rafters. Also included in
the program are Ronald Lo Presti’s and Arnold Schoenberg’s Theme and Variations, Op. 43a.
