WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY

Wells School of Music

elcome to the 2019-20 Wells School of Music Concert Season! We had a tremendous year in 2018-2019 including the naming of our school of music thanks to a generous donation by our alumni Dr. James R. Wells ‘54 and Mr. Richard G. Wells ‘58. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments in the field of music education and are honored to have their names associated with our program! The Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band is featured on the front cover not only to honor Dr. James Wells who directed the group for 24 years but also to congratulate the group for being the first Division II marching band in the country to be awarded the prestigious Sudler Trophy! The trophy ceremony will take place during the Golden Rams football game on September 21 at Farrell Stadium. Please mark your calendars for this momentous event and plan to attend the high-quality performances by our students, faculty, and guest artists occurring throughout the year. If you are not able to attend in person, click the Livestream button on our website and view the list of concerts you can watch from the comfort of your home. However, there is nothing like attending in person to experience the artistry presented by the Wells School of Music!
