WELCOME TO ‘SPOTLIGHT’ … THE LATEST NEWS FROM THE HOUSING TEAM
TENANTS TOGETHER – MEET THE TEAM AND HAVE YOUR SAY
WDC’s Housing Team is delighted host our first Tenants Together event for tenants and leaseholders on 28 November from 10am to 2.30pm at Warwick Racecourse.
We would love you to come along, join our conversation and share your thoughts and experiences about the services we provide for you.
The session will focus on areas we know are important to you, such as repairs, safety, maintenance of your home and communal areas, how we update and inform you and how well we respond to your needs.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided and also transport for those who need it.
This is a great opportunity for you to have your say, raise concerns, and help shape the way we support you in the future.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please register as soon as possible by emailing talktohousing@warwickdc.gov.uk.
For those unable to attend in person, but would like to take part in the discussions, please contact us by email talktohousing@warwickdc.gov.uk and we will send you a list of questions that we will be covering.
HELP TO SHAPE OUR FUTURE REPAIRS SERVICE
Having a repair carried out in your home is one of the most important services you receive from us. The contract with our current supplier Axis Europe will end in March 2026. Ahead of the procurement of a new contractor we will be working with our Residents Influencing Group to look at different parts of the service to assess what is working well and areas for improvement. As part of this process, we would also like to encourage views from as many residents as possible, giving you the chance to input into our choice of new contractor to be announced in Summer 2025.
Some of the questions we’re asking are:
• Have we got the right priorities and timescales for completing repairs?
• How would you assess your experience when contacting the team to report a repair?
• Should you be able to book repairs and manage appointments online?
• How well do we keep you informed about the progress of your repair and what can we do better?
• How we can make sure that repairs are completed on the first visit where possible.
• Are you kept informed about the timescales for repairs and return visits to complete work?
• Are there any areas where the quality of work could be improved?
• Are there any issues with repairs to communal areas of blocks of flats or estates?
• How should you be able to give feedback on the experience of the repairs service and what questions should we be asking you?
If you’ve any thoughts on any of the questions above or on any other aspect of the repairs service, then please contact us at talktohousing@warwickdc.gov.uk
If you would like to find out more about the Resident Influencing Group or would just like to be part of a ‘virtual’ consultation group that we can contact during the process then please get in touch.
