For boarding school and went on to study beauty in Brisbane, but it was always my dream to come home and open a beauty salon so here I am.

I love the country lifestyle...

And being close to family and friends. My brother and I both moved back onto the family property but we all live in separate houses. It’s so nice and peaceful when you wake up in the morning, a great way to start your days.

There are some great places...

Around town to catch up with friends: the café, the pub, the park has great play areas for kids. But sometimes I just take the opportunity for down time hanging out with my dog at home. I love running into...

The locals. Everyone knows everyone and they’re always up for a chat.

When my friends visit...

They love to experience the small community lifestyle. Some of our local events are great for that atmosphere but we also just enjoy the peace and quiet at home, that’s something they really appreciate coming from the city.

My favourite time of year is...

Spring, because the weather is perfect and all the flora is in full bloom. It’s beautiful.

I always look forward to...

The camel races that happen in town every second year. But the local football games are really fun too.

My go-to lunch...

Is the Chicken Caesar Salad from Wandoan Café. All of their food is delicious.

When opening my salon the support has been overwhelming. It’s been really great to see the town support small business.
