Welcome
From The Librarian
With the weather cooling down and the days getting shorter, now is the perfect opportunity to take time to settle into your favourite read - as well as discover everything else your library has to offer!
Our program calendar is jam-packed with activities for the whole family this winter, including Games Night, journaling, photography, craft, and the return of My Yipadee! Make sure to get involved in our NAIDOC Week and Science Week celebrations too, and save the date for our first Celebrating Culture and Community event for early years.
Our Eagle Readers initiative soars to new heights this season, with the completion of the program meaning one thingit's party time! For those Eagles and Eaglets who have completed the reading challenge, check in with your local library to see how they'll be celebrating. We've heard movie nights and pizza parties are on the agenda, so you won't want to miss out.
A librarian's favourite week of the year is also just around the corner. Book Week has been celebrated in Australia since 1945, and it seems to just keep getting better! Get involved in the Book Week celebrations - featuring colourful displays, fun activities, dress ups and special Storytimes - by contacting your local branch. Now for the important question: who should I dress up as?
So get out of the cold and get into the library this winter - we look forward to seeing you soon!
