Qualities of TYPHON TYPHON has a dual mode of action. It controls Aphids, Jassids and Whiteies in cotton crop. It affects both the nervous systems of the insects simultaneously (Central Nervous System & the Peripheral Nervous System). It has double Impact on the insect Nervous System, resulting in immediate death of the insect. It attacks all together on eggs, adult and nymph stages of insect. Its ability to effects on all stages of life-cycle of sucking pests reduces pests population just after its application.

Target Crop

COTTON

Cotton is the most important ď€ bre crop not only of India but of the entire world. It provides the basic raw material (cotton ď€ bre) to cotton textile industry. Its seed (binola) is used in vanaspati industry and can also be used as part of fodder for milch cattle to get better milk.India has the largest area under cotton cultivation in the world though she is the world’s third largest producer of cotton after China and the USA.

Harmful Pests

Aphids ( Aphidoidea )

Aphids are soft-bodied insects that use their piercing sucking mouthparts to feed on plant sap. They usually occur in colonies on the undersides of tender terminal growth. Heavily-infested leaves can wilt or turn yellow because of excessive sap removal. While the plant may look bad, aphid feeding generally will not seriously harm healthy, established trees and shrubs.

Harmful Pests

Jassids ( Amrasca biguttula biguttula Ishida )

Jassid is a sucking pest occurring throughout the crop growing period on cotton in all the zones. The pest injects toxins into leaves while feeding which results in abnormal changes in leaves - marginal chlorosis and reddening. Since the pest severity is dependent on the occurrence of congenial weather conditions, we have devised weather based rules for weekly prediction of the pest severity.

Harmful Pests

White Flies ( Aleyrodidae )

Whiteies are tiny, sap-sucking insects that may become abundant in cotton crop, especially during warm weather. They excrete sticky honeydew and cause yellowing or death of leaves. Outbreaks often occur when the natural biological control is disrupted. Management is difď€ cult once populations are high.
