A MESSAGE FROM RALPH S. OPACIC, ED.D.
Welcome Everyone!
Thank you for joining us at Orange County School of the Arts’ Gala 2018! I hope you are soaking in the sights and sounds of New Orleans and are enjoying your evening in the Big Easy thus far. In a few moments, we will transport you to the heart of the bayou, where you will be immersed in our version of the Crescent City, featuring globallyinspired cuisine, lively music sure to have you dancing from your chair, and captivating visual imagery. Prepare to be wowed – the talented performers you will see on stage tonight are thrilled to bring the magical city of New Orleans to life!
Orange County School of the Arts has been providing high-caliber arts and academic education for more than three decades now. It is because of individuals like you that thousands of young artists have been able to dream big and reach their highest potential. We rely on the OCSA community to help make our students’ dreams come true, and tonight, I would like to thank you all for your generosity and support.
I must take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thanks to our Honorary Co-Chairs, Lisa Argyros and John Massa and Devon and Kevin Martin, for their enthusiastic support and continuous commitment to our school. Additionally, this evening’s celebration of rhythm and blues would not be possible without our corporate sponsors, who graciously devoted both their time and resources to help bring this year’s Gala to fruition.
I also wish to express my deepest gratitude to all of our table sponsors, individual ticket attendees, and performance underwriters. Your willingness to give makes a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our bright and talented young artists. Lastly, I would like to recognize our dedicated army of parents and volunteers. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort they put forth to make this a memorable evening for everyone involved. Their partnership with OCSA is truly an integral part of our school.
Our amazing student performers are ready to impress you with a phenomenal show. We invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy this hullabaloo by the bayou!
All good things,
Ralph S. Opacic, Ed.D. Founder and Executive Director Orange County School of the Arts
A MESSAGE FROM KEVIN TIBER
Good Evening, Everyone!
Thank you all for joining us tonight. I am incredibly excited to welcome you to this very special evening, as we celebrate another fantastic Orange County School of the Arts Gala. I know the students have been working hard to present a marvelous show for all of us!
What an incredible journey the past three decades have been. From an after-school arts program to one of the nation’s best public charter schools, this truly unique institution provides nearly 2,200 talented and passionate student artists with the skills needed to pursue higher education or a profession in the arts.
As a proud parent of an OCSA graduate, I can attest to the fantastic education that OCSA provides for its students, both academically and artistically. This school sparks their imagination, fuels their dreams, and gives them the tools to make those dreams a reality. The level of commitment our students show to their education, coupled with their passion and creativity, never ceases to amaze me, and this evening will surely be no exception.
We have seen countless OCSA students achieve remarkable things in and for the world, and I have no doubt that our current and future students will continue to contribute to our society in thoughtful, positive, and creative ways. Your devotion to the inspiring young artists you see on stage tonight, and to those working diligently behind the scenes, is one of the driving forces behind the success of this school.
On behalf of the OCSA Foundation Board of Directors and the entire OCSA community, I want to thank everyone here tonight for supporting this incredible organization and everything it offers to our gifted, passionate, and creative young students. I hope each and every one of you enjoys this spirited performance and wonderful night!
With gratitude,
Kevin Tiber Chairman, Foundation Board of Directors Orange County School of the Arts
