ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOL OF THE ARTS FOUNDATION

Proudly Presents

SATURDAY, MAY 18 | 7 P.M.

SEGERSTROM CENTER FOR THE ARTS

2024

We provide an unparalleled arts and academic education in a creative, challenging, and nurturing environment to a diverse group of students who are passionate about the arts, preparing them to reach their highest potential.

ACADEMICS + Arts

Established in 1987, the nationally recognized Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) offers a dynamic school culture that enables students to flourish as artists and scholars. The school currently serves a diverse student body of nearly 2,300 students in grades 7-12 from more than 100 cities throughout Southern California.

In addition to offering a challenging college-preparatory academic program that produces high-achieving, motivated scholars, OCSA provides aspiring young artists with the opportunity to refine their skills and flourish in one of 17 arts conservatories. Each year, more than 200 concerts, recitals, staged performances, and exhibitions are presented at a variety of venues in Orange County and throughout the world, providing students with the unique experience of entertaining and inspiring thousands of audience members.

OCSA is a donation-dependent public charter school; no student is offered or denied admission based on financial capacity. The school’s rigorous academic education coupled with advanced arts training has impacted many students, molding generations of creative thinkers, leaders, artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Dear Friends and Families,

It is with immense joy and pride that I welcome you all to Season Finale 2024, presented by the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Foundation!

As another remarkable season’s curtain closes, I am in awe of all that the OCSA community has accomplished. And while I am so proud of our many accomplishments, I am even more honored to be able to witness firsthand the daily impact that OCSA has on all those who walk its halls. I know without a doubt that the experiences our students have at OCSA – academically, artistically, and socially – will guide them as they embark on their journeys in higher education and their careers. It is also undeniable that the positive impact of OCSA would not be possible without our valued teachers. The passion and dedication that our teachers display each and every day is truly incredible and is what makes them the absolute best at what they do.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation toward a foundational leader who has been making a substantial impact at OCSA for the past 22 years, Mr. Steven Wagner. As many of you are aware, Mr. Wagner will be retiring from his position as Chief Operations Officer at the conclusion of this school year. Alongside OCSA’s Administrative Team, Mr. Wagner has helped provide the vision and leadership to facilitate the school’s growth from just 800 students to nearly 2,300, and from 12 arts programs to 20. His guidance throughout my time at OCSA has been invaluable, as I know it has been to many others. I hope you will join me in thanking Mr. Wagner and wishing him a happy and well-deserved retirement!

I also want to thank our 2023-2024 Season Sponsors: Pendry Newport Beach, Farmers & Merchants Bank, and Boot Barn, as well as our Board of Trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, Emeritus Board, President’s Circle, Encore, and PSO members for their continued and enthusiastic support of our students. Finally, I would like to express my appreciation for our parents, alumni, administrators, faculty and staff, members of the local community, most importantly, our talented and inspiring student artists. I am especially excited to welcome our newly admitted students, who are just beginning their OCSA journey and will be joining us for the 2024-2025 school year in the fall.

Now, it’s time to marvel at tonight’s outstanding lineup of performances from each of our conservatories. Please enjoy!

All the best,

We are so very proud of everything you have accomplished and can't wait to see what is in store for each and every one of you!

YOUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT

We hope you enjoy this dynamic showcase celebrating the culmination of the school year and featuring spectacular performances and presentations by the talented student artists of all 17 OCSA arts conservatories.
