BARABOO – Members of the Baraboo community and citizens from surrounding areas will gather Wednesday to take a stand against Sen. Olsen’s support for the radical budget expected to pass the Senate later this week. While Olsen has indicated he will support the budget’s final passage, his constituents refuse to stand by idly as their senator rubberstamps legislation that gives millions in tax breaks to out-of-state corporations while raising taxes on seniors, the disabled and the working poor. Residents will gather at Oschner Park at 12:30 in Baraboo to make their voices heard. Speakers will discuss Sen. Olsen’s lockstep support of multi-million dollar cuts to education, women’s healthcare services and local police and firefighters. Attendees and speakers will be made available for interviews following the rally’s completion.
