FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS I am not currently registered for a trip but am interested in joining the 2022 trip with my school. What are the next steps? Great news! All you need to do is click the ‘SIGN UP’ button and confirm your contact details. Once you’ve done this, we’ll be in touch with details of how to complete your application.

I am already signed up to a 2021 trip and am interested in transferring onto the 2022 trip with my school. What are the next steps? If you’d like to transfer that’s great news! All you need to do is click the ‘SIGN UP’ button to confirm your contact details. Once you’ve done this, we’ll be in touch with a Booking Transfer form. You’ll just need to confirm your acceptance of the new terms specified on that form and confirm which payment plan you’d like to follow (detailed below) and then we can get you transferred. To enable a transfer, you will be required to have paid at least 10% of the trip fee; anything already paid counts towards this 10%.

If I join or transfer onto the 2022 trip, what will my payment plan look like? There are two payment plan options to choose from, please let us know your preference in your email confirmation to our Support Team. Please note that for both options, any monies already paid count towards the 10% that is due when you return your Booking Transfer form. You will be contacted once the facility to set up a direct debit for the future payments is available for your new trip.

Direct Debit Monthly Plan At least 10% to have been paid by the date you return your Booking Transfer form/complete your application. Payments of 4.6% of trip fee will then continue to be taken on the 25th of each month from the 25th April 2021 until the 25th March 2022. Will the 2022 trip be the same as the 2021 trip? The webpage sent to you includes a link to the itinerary for the 2022 trip where you can see that the nature of the trip remains the same. By transferring, you agree to be placed on the new trip itinerary and will follow the following build-up program: · One day pre-departure training with the Trip Leader; this will be held at school · School will have access to our online learning system which focuses on Wellbeing, Personal Growth and Global Citizenship · Pre-departure update run by World Challenge · Build-up day held the day before/day of departure run by the Trip Leader at school

What happens if I join or transfer to the 2022 trip, but not enough of my teammates join me? We would look to try and recruit more students. If this was not possible, then we will look to merge with another team travelling to the same destination, or the trip would be cancelled as per our standard terms and you would be entitled to a full refund.

If my team merges with another team, am I able to withdraw and get a refund as this is not what I originally signed up for? In this instance, a refund would not be due. We would link teams up that have the same destination/duration and would, therefore be classified an insignificant change as per our standard terms.

Is it still an option to transfer to a 2022 trip if I have left the school? This decision resides with the school. World Challenge are happy for students to continue travelling after they have left the school. If you’re unable to travel with the school, we have some independent options that you may be interested in. Please let us know if this is the case and we’ll send the information to you.

Will the same refund policy exist for 2022? If the trip cannot happen due to the current conditions, can a refund still be expected? If for any reason World Challenge must cancel the trip, then a full refund of any monies paid would be due.

If I stay on the 2021 team and fully pay but then the trip is later cancelled, can I then transfer my place to the 2022 trip? Yes, this option would be available to you.

I am not interested in transferring to a 2022 trip, what are my options? We understand that transferring to 2022 is not an option for everybody. If you prefer to remain on your original 2021 trip, we’ll keep you updated with plans. Whilst we appreciate that in the current circumstances it would be very unlikely the trip would be able to go ahead, there is still some time until departure and it’s possible that some trips will still be able to take place. Because of this we need you to keep up to date with your payments so that we can firm up arrangements for if the trip goes ahead later this year. If you are substantially behind on payments and have not made a payment for some time, we will be in touch to discuss your options. We will make a final decision on whether a trip can go ahead around 60 days before departure. If at this stage World Challenge cancels the trip, you are entitled to a full refund on any monies paid. Alternatively, you may want to consider transferring to a 2022 trip at this point.


TRANSFER OF BOOKING AGREEMENT 1.

You’ve indicated to us that you wish to transfer your “Original Booking” to a “Revised Booking”. On your agreement to this booking deferral statement in writing, the Original Booking will be cancelled in full and the Revised Booking accepted.

It is a requirement, prior to us accepting the Revised Booking, that you have paid at least 10% of the total price of the Original Booking.

Please access our updated terms and conditions here (the “Terms and Conditions”). Once your booking is transferred, these updated terms and conditions will apply to your Revised Booking.

Once your booking is transferred, you will be moved onto a new payment plan. You will confirm your choice of payment plan when you respond via email to confirm you wish to transfer to the New Departure Date. Any monies already paid to World Challenge towards the Original Booking will be transferred to your Revised Booking and allocated against your new payment plan.
