DAY 6 ANCIENT CULTURE IN HOI AN Sleep: Hostel Travel: Transfer 45mins to Hoi An

DAYS 7-10 AN NHIEN FARM PROJECT Sleep: Bamboo house, hostel Travel: Transfer + walk 45mins to An Nhien Farm, walk + transfer 45mins back to Hoi An

VIETNAM 12 NIGHT ITINERARY

Step off the train in Danang and travel to the historic city of Hoi An. Get to grips with this atmospheric town when we set off on a walking tour. First stop is the Chua Ong pagoda – a Chinese-inspired structure that dates back to 1653. Smell the incense and street food, and say ‘xin chao’ (seen chow) to greet the locals. We’ll continue to Jinshang Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Cross the famous Japanese Covered Bridge, then step inside for some Vietnamese tea.

Discover another side to Vietnam. We’re off to An Nhien Farm to live with a community. Extreme climate change threatens their environment, so they look for sustainable solutions to manage this. They harvest rainwater and use solar power to heat water. Striving for zero waste, they use innovative ideas like making bricks from coffee grounds. It’s all about living a low-impact lifestyle. Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. Help out with tree planting in the mangrove nursery, and learn how

to make eco-friendly tooth powder. You’ll also discover a different style of cooking when we create some Vietnamese classics. Many dishes are cooked in banana leaves or bamboo. Your home-from-home is a traditional bamboo bungalow, and we’ll feast on barbecued food by the campfire. This is an incredible chance to experience local sustainable living. Leap outside your comfort zone, stay open-minded and embrace this opportunity. After three nights, we’ll head back to Hoi An.
