THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to Betway Summer Plate Ladies Day. We are thrilled to have you with us for one of our most popular racedays and what is sure to be an afternoon of classy and competitive Jump racing. Our thanks go to our sponsors Betway for their support of today’s card, which regularly features high-class equine performers such as recent winners of the Betway Summer Plate Alcala and Casablanca Mix. Off the track we are delighted to see the return of the Style Awards, an event which is always well supported by racegoers from across Lincolnshire and further afield. Whilst the quality of racing on show and exciting atmosphere of the day may be familiar, your experience on course at Market Rasen may be a little different to the last time you were with us. I would ask for your help and understanding as we look to provide a safe and enjoyable event for everyone who is attending today, by following the guidance set out around the racecourse and listening to our team on site who are here to assist you. Finally, we recently announced a charity partnership with the locally based Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare, who have been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life-limiting illnesses for over 29 years. If you were able to support this worthy cause via the QR codes displayed around the course or the Lindsey Lodge Hospice Team members who will be collecting throughout the day then it would be hugely appreciated and make a real difference to the vital work that the charity undertake. Thank you for choosing to spend your day with us. I hope you have a fantastic afternoon and enjoy the great racing we have on offer.

Probable S.P’s: 3-10 Dal Horrisgle (GB), 5-1 Socks Off (IRE), 8-1 Gms Prince (GB)

PLAY SMARTER

DAL HORRISGLE showed something like his useful Flat ability in brushing aside some fair rivals at Uttoxeter last month and should have no trouble defying a penalty. Socks Off wasn’t beaten far by an above-average pair on his Hexham hurdle debut and is preferred to Gms Prince for forecast purposes.

PLAY SMARTER

Female trainers have won the last 4 runnings of this and a chance is taken on BEAUTIFIL BEN extending that sequence as Laura Morgan’s charge may well have needed his first 2 runs back last month and has slipped below his last winning mark. Larch Hill has largely been in good form this year, while Ballyneety and Makka Pakka are 2 for whom market support would look significant.

Friends of Racing Welfare

You can become a friend of Racing Welfare by donating as little as £5 per month

“For every horse that appears on a racecourse, there is a large group of individuals that have made it happen. They are not in the limelight, but they are totally dedicated to their work. When these people face difficulties in their lives, they need somewhere to turn, and Racing Welfare is there for each and every one of them.” - HRH The Princess Royal President of Racing Welfare

Your £5 a month will allow a retired beneficiary to meet up with old friends and reminisce about their time in the racing industry. Your £60 over the course of the year will allow a retired couple to attend one of our special day trips to attend a raceday, the theatre or to the seaside. To find out how you can become a Friend of Racing Welfare contact us at info@racingwelfare.co.uk or call 01638 560 763 www.racingwelfare.co.uk | Registered Charity No 1084042
