J Tom Marquand 15-266 Br SNC Shadwell France BL Top rated UK Arabian who broke his maiden over this trip on the Polytrack on debut, though has won up to 2m on Turf. Fair effort for new owners in a hot Group1PA over a mile, seems suited by any going. Respected. (R14 W5 P5) (OR 105)

Br Kathryn K or Paul J Smoke Swedish Group3PA winner over this trip on Dirt, who was third in this in 2018. Well beaten in both his starts this season, including over course and distance on reappearance, but should strip fitter here and will have had this as a target. (R40 W7 P10) (OR 80)

J Hollie Doyle 13-530 Br Shadwell Estate Company Ltd VIS Mile winner on debut, beating three subsequent winners, but has failed to progress. Placed behind Abiyah Athbah on the Polytrack over 7f, but a long way behind Al Kaaser at Goodwood latest. Cheekpieces exchanged for a visor today. (R5 W1 P2) (OR 87)
4 ABIYAH ATHBAH (GB) (17) 7 8 10 ( 8 )

Br Athbah Stud Showed plenty of speed when winning over a furlong further on the Polytrack last term, but not so quick when encountering easy ground this season. Trained with this in mind and must go close if ground continues to dry out. (R15 W3 P8) (OR 87)
5 BAYAN ATHBAH (GB) (33) 5 8 10 ( 3 )
Gr M AF Albahar (AE) - Keen Game (GB) (Bengali D'Albret (FR))

J Tadhg O'Shea 0-61 Br Athbah Stud TT Out of the frame in two starts in Saudi Arabia this winter including over this trip on debut, but made her first European start a winning one, over 1m1f last month. Chance to progress again, though siblings all better over further. (R3 W1 P0) (OR 100)
6 JADAAYIL (FR) (53) 6 8 10 ( 7 )

J Jim Crowley 1-2-14 Br SNC Shadwell France VIS UK and overseas wins all over beyond a mile, and was slowly away here in a 1m2f conditions event in June. Interesting to see customary cheekpieces exchanged for visor, which should help her chances on first attempt at this trip. (R10 W3 P5) (OR 90)
J Dane O'Neill 50-2 Br Shadwell Estate Company Ltd BL Sire won this race three times and dam has produced two Group winning juveniles (here) over a furlong further. Fair effort to be placed over a mile on quick turf on reappearance, further drying of ground a plus, though needs to improve. (R3 W0 P1) (OR 72)
8 MAZYOONAH (GB) (44) 6 8 10 ( 1 )
Bay M No Risk Al Maury (FR) - Udjidora De Bozouls (FR) (Dormane (FR))
Shadwell Estate Company Limited Mr James Owen J Ray Dawson -14-10
Br Shadwell Estate Company Ltd Distance winner on Good to Firm in Belgium, but well behind Abiyah Athbah here in a conditions event over this trip on Good to Soft. Another who needs the ground to dry out and all wins in a hood so interesting to see it left off today. (R11 W4 P5) (OR 81)
NUMBER OF DECLARED RUNNERS 8
Betting Forecast: 7-2 Jadaayil (FR), 4-1 Al Kaaser (FR), 9-2 Abiyah Athbah (GB), 11-2 Jamaraat (GB), 7-1 Storm Troupour (US), 8-1 Mazyoonah (GB), 9-1 Toofaan (GB), 10-1 Bayan Athbah (GB) Race Summary: Only a handful of these are proven at this distance and many are trying it for the first time. Al Kaaser’s maiden was a weak affair and he’s been campaigned at a mile or more ever since. However class has often prevailed in this race and he certainly warrants consideration as the top-rated horse. Jadaayil is interesting tried in a visor, but she’ll need to show more speed from the stalls than her last outing here and the lightly raced duo of Bayan Athbah and Jamaraat could easily improve beyond what they’ve shown to date. After winning over 7f last autumn, this race was pinpointed by connections for ABIYAH ATHBAH, who was the best of the older horses over course and distance here last month on easier ground and should be better still, now the ground has dried out.
