THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU Welcome to Sandown Park We have six races to enjoy, starting with the Sivori Apprentice Handicap and ending with the Owen Williams Handicap, both of which are qualifiers for The Jockey Club Grassroots Flat Series. The series comprises four divisions – Sprint, Middle Distance, Stayers and Nursery – and aims to offer enhanced prize money for horses operating below the highest level, culminating on Finals Day at Nottingham on Wednesday 29th September. Our second race, the five furlong British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes, is sponsored by the European Breeders Fund, one of over 600 flat races a year run for EBF qualified horses, all carrying enhanced prize money. We would like to thank the EBF for their generous contribution to this evening's contest. Part of the enjoyment of an evening at Sandown Park is the food and drink and we have a number of outlets inside and outside the Grandstand for you to choose from. If you would like to enhance your experience, our Equus restaurant is open for walk-ins and offers a delicious à la carte menu with fantastic views across the course. We wish all the horses and their connections the best of luck in this evening's races and hope that you have a wonderful evening with us here at Sandown Park.

PLAY SMARTER

SUNSET BAY was comfortably on top of a rival with recent winning form at Newbury last month so 6lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up, especially as she may have a bit more to offer now back on a sounder surface. Mighty Power is still relatively unexposed, while Billy Mill’s current mark remains a workable one.

COUL KAT needs to dispel a lesser effort on his latest outing at Chester in June, yet Rod Millman’s charge had previously looked better than ever when registering success over C&D in May and he gets the nod to bounce back under Oisin Murphy. Dogged is feared on his penultimate C&D third, whilst Enigmatic is another who can get in the shake-up.
